If you are doing something to attract attention or for the purpose of sexual gratification, no.
If you merely enjoy being seen, yes.
Believe it or not, a lot of men (not just gay ones) seem to enjoy seeing other men naked, and get turned on at the sight of a hard cock.
But that has nothing to do with naturism/nudism and - whether welcomed or not, by the opposite sex or the same - is not appropriate in most naturist settings If you're in a specifically adult swingers/cruising set up then that's what everyone is there for, so do whatever floats your boat, but otherwise, if you can't keep it out of everyone's face, keep it in your pants, or clear off somewhere else!

They are not the problem, your closed minded views are. Someone into nudism citing a definition and not understanding the gray lines is pretty comical. Being an exhibitionist to most simply means they enjoy the act of being seen. It does not mean throwing on a trenchcoat and go flashing everyone. It doesn't mean waving a dick around in a woman's face. They simply enjoy when someone sees them in their natural state. If you have a problem with that fact, that is a YOU problem, not a them problem...

Note that there are two definitions. Definition 1 specifically refers to the erotic aspect, and a psychologist's definition requires that exposing oneself is a necessary component of sexual gratification.
Definition 2 doesn't require that. It simply connotes a need for other people to see you. In that sense, singers and actors and dancers and sportspeople are exhibitionists, because they want people to look at them and pay attention to them. It's harmless unless it's unavoidable and intrudes on other people's space or sensibilities.
So I don't mind if somebody is doing cartwheels along the beach, showing everybody their skill at it. If they get an erotic thrill out of it, I wouldn't begrudge them. If they start waving their dicks around, though, they cross that line into inappropriate behavior.
If a woman is jogging naked along a beach and I enjoy the sight of her boobs bouncing, that's exhibitionism only if she's doing it specifically to arouse me. If she just enjoys the sensation and would be doing it whether I was around or not, that wouldn't be exhibitionism. What's happening inside my head is my business, not hers.
Ok some people dont like word definitions and would rather live in the grey areas when as a nudist can be an exhibitionist too.
Why is it so difficult for some to say they are exhibitionist that just do it on nudist beaches. Whats the problem with that ?
As for actors, singers and sports people being exhibitionist because lots of people see them. That doesnt take into account that most never make the big time.
In fact Ill take out sports people from that scenario as 100s of millions of people play or take part in sport for the simple joy that it gives them, only a tiny proportion become professional enough to get any attention. They are more akin to nudist philosophy of just doing it for the personal joy it brings you.

I agree with that, in the sense that people do some things for the simple joy of it, rather than being on a stage or sports field with people watching. I like to sing with people in an informal setting, like around a campfire or a jam session. When there's nobody around, I sing to myself for the pleasure of it.
But when I have the chance to sing before an appreciative audience, yes, I enjoy the attention. I guess that makes me an exhibitionist. (I haven't had the chance to sing in the nude before an appreciative audience, but does it matter whether I have clothes on or not?)

I have read of vocalists, dancers and actors performing nude in public, but am not aware of any instrumentalists doing so. I did once at a private social gathering.
Woodsman is seems like you are twisting yourself pretzel shaped trying to justify what an exhibitionist is.
If you ask people what a nudist is, theyll say someone who likes walking about with no clothes on.
Ask them what an exhibitionist is, theyll say someone who likes flashing their dick/tits at strangers.
People who sing dont figure in the thought process.
As for the . I have read guy.
I have read the pope takes a bath naked, that does not make him a nudist. In the same way a septuagenarian wearing inappropriate shorts doesnt make him Catherine Bach
