Pictures posted to groups disappeared?

I've posted pictures in messages to groups I belong to, and those messages did "take" when I posted them; I know that because I got comments.
But I've been looking, and it seems they're all gone. Where the picture was in the message, there's now a few snippets of computer something or other.
What's the story? I'd like a way to post topic-appropriate photos to the groups I'm in--especially since people can only see 5 (and I can't even decide which 5) of the 70+ photos in my own album.

They may have been lost when the site transferred over to the new server. I know Site Admin was having issues with photos via an announcement made her eon th eforum about a week ago.

The pics did disappear when we went to new server. You should be able to edit your posts and put picture back in

Most of the pics have been assigned a new url, that is why they no longer
appear on posts and blogs.

To replace them, you need to post them again, using the new urls from your
album.
