The end of the beginning?

We've had another drought of record in Texas (and bordering states) that's been complicated by unending heat. The days of successive 100f+ have set a new record. It looks awful and gardens are generally trashed.
The heat may have broken a couple of days ago. It was only 95, and along with some cooler night temps it's rained twice. Usually the summer heat breaks in the first week of October, but it would be nice if it was now. Being a nudist has been good. Working in garden is a lot easier and as long as I end my work by noon some projects have been accomplished. Any of the garden pictures in my profile are pre-drought. I haven't taken any pictures of the poor garden this season.
I certainly hope this weather pattern shifts back to normal. We're in serious trouble despite this recent rain.
