Thanks for the info in the autogenerated names, I did not know that is a thing.
I used to respond to these by saying you should fill out your profile more or get certified, only to have them respond with more requests for info about me or links to other sites. So now I just decline the friend requests and mark the messages a spam. Don't know if that will get them off the site but hope it gets them off my feed at least. I don't have a problem friending non certified users but they have to have more to offer than a blank profile and a single photo.
Go the Feed tab and you can easily spot all the fakes by their outrageous profile pics. I regularly flag them as fake/spam (one of the flagging options) and recently the admins have begun removing those profiles. Of course this should be happening automatically, but until that starts happening, I'll keep flagging. Seeing results makes me feel less annoyed about having to do it.
