Where are the moderators?

Repeated posts by spammers and no one does anything. I'm out of here! Someone suggested the moderators and administrators are getting paid by the spammers. I think it is merely no one cares. Sadly, this was a good site.

I don't think it is anything so insidious. This site is not a big money maker--no ads for one. It just isn't worth much attention from the admins. Regarding the moderators, anyone can set up a group and be a moderator. The problem is when they leave the site or don't log in for months or years, as is the case with this group. I have successfully offered to take over another group and take great joy in deleting spam posts. I have offered a couple of times to take over the moderation of this group, but have never gotten a reply from the admins. I may be that the moderator has not deleted his profile. He just stopped logging in. I suggested starting a new naked hiking group if someone would co-moderate, but received a really mixed reaction to that proposal.
