I went to BCB today 12/5/25. Actually, the first time since early October. A couple observations;
I got there around 10:45 the parking lot at Little Mud Creek was less than 20% full despite being a beautiful sunny 82 day (Sorry northerners)
Several people were walking down the sidewalk to the trails entrance, which is marked with a sign and arrows along the trail leading to where the observation tower is.
I walked down the beach from the Little Mud Creek crossover to the clothing optional area, about 3/4 mile.
During that 3/4 mile walk I saw 7 clothed beachgoers. Probably a few of them were there just hoping they could catch nude people so they could complain. I call those people "Probitch" Professional bitchers that are not happy unless they are complaining about something
There are signs posted at the walkover at little mud creek warning that arrests have been made (even though all charges were dropped, but the ones arrested still had their name and picture published and not to mention some legal bills) There is no sign at the boundary between the clothing optional and clothing required section.
All the signs at Little Mud now include "Clothing required" and one has a map showing the boundaries of the clothing optional area.
After I was there for a few hours, ans starting to get a little bit of sunburn I walked to the observation tower and decided to go through the trails and walk up the sidewalk back to the Little Mud parking lot. On my way out I took a little detour up to where the trails met the parking lot and took a few pics. Someone that I was chatting with on the way out said while the rest rooms are by the entrance, The showers will be by the trailhead. I did see some building materials piled up there so maybe so. We hall see.
The parking lot looks pretty much done. There were workers with blowers cleaning up the lot-good sign
The big thing now is once all the work is done, there are about a half dozen county and state agencies that have to sign off on it before it can open. Here is hoping that is all taken care of so it can be open by Christmas for our Holiday and post holiday visitors.
