Progress (or lack thereof) report

I found this on St Lucie County's website;

"Blind Creek Beach Parking Lot
Location: 5460 S Ocean Drive on South Hutchinson Island

Reason for Closure: The parking lot at Blind Creek Beach is closed for renovations, including improvements to the parking area and restroom facilities.

The beach will remain open with an alternative pedestrian access. Beachgoers who wish to continue to use Blind Creek Beach can access the designated clothing-optional section by parking at the Little Mud Creek parking lot to the north and proceeding south along the sidewalk on A1A to a temporary beach access entrance or access from the beachside.

Expected Reopening: The park is expected to reopen in March 2026."

MARCH 2026???!!! What on earth is going on? The construction was done in the beginning of December and all they were waiting for was various agencies to sign off on it. My guess is one or more of the agencies is balking on it.
This was originally supposed to be done in July 2025
Totally ridiculous. Don't they realize how much this has and is hurting tourism in the area?
I think at this point most of us wish they would have just left it alone.
