Shampooed an area rug and left it oustride to dry

The three dogs did quite a number on this rug. I shampooed it four times on the driveway. I left it out to dry. Instead a heavy rain came in over nite and really rinsed it clean. This morning, I went for my newspaper as usual, cup ofd coffee in hand, and very nude. I stepped on that carpet and it felt like a wet sponge. I took a sip of my coffee, and then started turning the carpet over. Heavy was not the right word. I was tugging at it when a neighbor came down the street with his dog, and volunteered to help. Five minutes later it was done. I expressed my thanks, at which time he asked me why I was nude. I told him that I am a nudist, and hope it didn't offend him. I invited him in for coffee, but he said later. And later it was when he and his misses came over to introduce themselves. And yes, I was still nude, as was Nancy. They asked if at another time they could come over again and join us as we were. Definitely.
