((( Please read BEFORE making a NEW post. )))

Due to the fact that there is no "in house" search function as yet, it is becoming increasingly difficult
to find any given thread subject on this forum. This situation is exacerbated by members creating
ambiguous titles and most of all, posting to the wrong forum, and the fact that there is no forum
moderator, moving the threads to their correct category.

Seriously Inappropriate threads are usually removed by admin deleting the creators profile, which
also deletes all content posted by that profile.

To make a new post.
Make sure you are logged in.
First think of a title that best describes the subject.
Click on the Forum tab, this will bring up the main list of forums.
Carefully choose the appropriate forum for your subject.
Click on the forum name to open it, and then scan the list to see if there is already a thread that
covers your subject.
If not, click on a "new" button (found both top and bottom, right side) to make your post.

Quick heads up.
Sometimes, after writing a post, when you click on "Submit" the page is very slow to reload.
NEVER EVER click on it again, as this WILL publish your post TWICE. and you cannot delete
one of them, (you can only edit and remove the text) Instead, hit the back button, and
then refresh. If your new post is not at the top of the list, it may take a few minutes to appear.
Click on it to see if it has published correctly.
There is an "edit" button if you need it.

giving the link to rules for posting can be as detrimental as it is beneficial seeing as it is full of misposted posts and may possibly lead people to beleive that is is the forum for anything and everything.

Thanks, Jaydog, point taken.

The link does take you directly to TT's Rule post. To find a "New Button" to click on,
you would have to click on the link back to the "Rules for posting in here" forum.

I have already stated to first click the main "Forum" tab, and then carefully choose
your forum, but in the light of what you've just said, I will add the rules as well, and
embolden some of the key words, just to be on the safe side :)

Thanks again

Phil.

ps.

Thanks Girls!

I have another suggestion: Avoid subject heads like ...
"Question"
"Can someone help me"
"A thought!"
"How do people feel about this?"

Try to come up with something that tells what you're posting about.

I did cover that with "This situation is exacerbated by members creating
ambiguous titles"

but you said it better :)

Thanks for pointing it out again, it's a common problem.

hoplesswhen you're looking for something specific.
