New Boat
Return to DiscussionsI bought my first New Boat in early May. I live on a lake, thus my screen name. I have spent more time on it nude than I have clothed. I only launched it once and it has been in the water since. Tied to my pier I can get in it when I get ready and head out. It has opened up a vast new area outside that I can be nude in.
No, because there are places around the lake I may want to stop at to get a beer or a burger and fries or something, so need some clothing for that. That includes a Shirt in case I want to go in. I also bring along some footwear. I need it to get across the yard and on the pier to the boat. Then it may be needed while out at anchor. One day during midday about 1 or 2 PM the deck felt like an asphalt road in summertime. YOUCH!!!!
Boats provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. I walked out my door completely bare, down to the dock, launched the boat, and spent hours on the lake. Hot feet have not been an issue since my craft has a carpeted floor. The vinyl seats are another story. A splash of cool lake water solves that. I stop for an hour or two and float on a float ring. It's always invigorating to climb in wet and stand at the wheel to dry off once underway.
Mine HAS carpeting of some thin outdoor kind, but it is still hot in the midday sun. It is a 20' pontoon boat, but NOT a Party Barge. The lake is about 18,000 acres in size. It is around 18 miles or so from the spillway the headwaters. There are Cypress spotted trees all over the lake, Not just wide-open water over the whole surface area. But there are large areas of open water and channels running throughout the lake. I did get the trailer for it, so I can take it to other bodies of water, too.
I took my boat out on the lake today and did what I refer to as a sunset cruise. Bring along a cooler with some beverages to enjoy and go riding through different channels then stopping in open areas to drift, sun & swim. My newest photo was taken during just such an afternoon, watching the sunset. It's nice having the pier at the end of the front yard and not having to trailer my boat to use it.
back in my younger days i was into sailing had two different sailboats over the years and a slip at the marina . i mostly worked nights and weekends so my days were free and i enjoyed being at the lake during middle of the week as less crazy boat traffic the best part once away from the marina and the sails up i took of my bathing suit and sailed nude even if other boaters came close i stayed nude as most boaters are pretty laid back i also saw my share of those also nude and would wave. sadly boat slips there are like a mortgage and the lake is like a freeway of boaters .good memories ...
