Taking Photos and Sharing Photo Tips

Return to Discussions

The few naturists I know are photo shy. After all, they have the option not to share or post photos if they don't want to.

I would like to meet fellow naturists in my area to share amateur photo tips and try taking some nude pictures with ourselves as models. Using simple point-and-shoot camera or our handphones. Simple and easy as that. One common problem I face is over-exposure, especially outdoors shoot.

Let's see how things turn out.

Hi, I am keen on this.

I find after a photo is taken, use filters that are inbuilt from the handphone. I don't think it is necessary to use a camera...

Yes agree, our own handphones should do well.

Inbuilt filters? As in the handphone camera functions/selection, eg Landscape, Night Scene etc. Of course, there is also the Photo Editing apps.

Yes totally agree with you.

Handphone cameras are (getting) very good nowadays, especially the high-end recent 5G models.

And it's very convenient - shoot (photos), edit where necessary then share/post. Just great!

Agreed, phone cameras have improved a lot in the last 5 years. But there is a big difference between taking a picture and a proper photo or real photography. Taking selfie's is NOT photography in my opinion, it's self gratification, as are dick pic's. Real photo's require time, set up, good lighting or angles, context, depth etc. I'm not a professional photographer and hopefully a real one can explain better.

The trouble these days is that everyone with a phone has a camera and thinks they are a photographer. Most of us re amateur's, but at least make an attempt at good context and lighting, and avoid selfies, they are really for a different purpose. Otherwise either don't post or maybe make them funny.

Agree, handphone or selfie photography mostly do not equate professional or proper photography. But for many of us naturists who are solo and alone, the mobile handphone camera and selfie are most convenient. And this subject is appropriately discussed under "Amateur Photography".

For me, I make use of self-timer and edits the photos (to make them more presentable) for posting.
