Barefooting at work

Return to Discussions

Is anyone here lucky enough to have a job that allows them to be barefoot? If you don't, what's stopping you? And would you go barefoot on the job if you could?

Cool. I work at a university library. Unless I have meetings with managers or the dean, I can be barefoot around my department.

It varies for me, there are places, where I can work barefoot and restrictive places where I'm not allowed to work barefoot due to safety regulations.

I work in a place that requires "business professional" so no barefoot for me. I would love to, though.

While I can't be barefoot at work for safety concerns (I might stub my toe) once I get home I slip off my shoes and enjoy the freedom of going sans shoes.

Im required to wear steel toed shoes for work. However, If im not working where steel toed shoes are OSHA required, I'll slip on a pair of deck shoes. If no one is around and there isnt any danger, I will absolutely go barefoot.
