Dec 24, 2014i personally never seen true male nudist walking around with erections and most that do in chat end up getting booted as it dont stop there they tend to masturbate on cam which myself and partner find disrespectful u dont see the women doing that if thats what they want i suggest they go to true swingers or another site this is after all a site for friendship among nudists and just wanting to show an erection gived the wrong impression out to the members

Dec 24, 2014Well said Vspikev. I've been to many nudist beaches, resorts and private parties. I have NEVER seen a true nudist with an erection. That's not to say I haven't seen erections, but there's always a sexual undercurrent.

Dec 24, 2014Well, it is part of the naturist/nudist code of conduct that men will not display an erection as a nudist.This type of behavior is why public acceptance and opening of public lands has been long debated and slow to happen. Erections in the nudist setting are inappropriate because it is viewed as threatening behavior and should not be part of nudist activities. It is not to say erections never occur but when they do the code of conduct says to cover up until the erection subsides. Sexual behavior and being a nudist are separate things because nudity is about enjoying our freedoms to enjoy each other in a non-threatening environment that is excepting to all. But the erection crosses the line because it is clearly a sexual occurrence, and is aggressive behavior. Again everyone is to be respected and given their freedom to be able to relax. Erections help to fuel the public debate that nudist and nude activities are sexual deviants! That could not be further from the truth, and that is why nudists/naturists will argue and defend the separation of such behavior. Nudists need to advocate for themselves to insure that we can enjoy our freedoms, and the erection needs to not be part of the nudist code of conduct. So please keep your erections under wraps.

And being that this site is designed for wholesome nude interaction and not sexual interaction, it is unacceptable to display things of sexual nature. You have a much more difficult time determining if a woman is sexually arroused simply by looking at a picture of her vagina. Especially if she's not in some provocative pose. Dec 25, 2014I was going to remain silent on this one, but too many of you seem to be making assumptions or using words like "always", that are not necessarily fact.
1. Erections are not ALWAYS a sign of sexual arousal. Men can become aroused (i.e., erect) for other reasons too. These reasons can be medical, when discussing or witnessing things that they are very enthusiastic about (I've seen them happen when watching a sporting event that's getting intense and their team is close to scoring), when he is dreaming or has just awoken from a dream, feels good with the sun on his skin, etc. Women's nipples get erect when they are sexually aroused, but just because they are sticking out does not mean there is anything sexual involved. (Ever been in a cold room or draft?) As to the comment about erections being "threatening": yes, a man might threaten with an erection, but just because his penis is hard doesn't mean his intention (if he even has one regarding it at the time) is threatening. (intent vs. interpretation)
2. Men shave in various ways, patterns and areas for a number of reasons, and just because he shaves his pubic area does not mean he's doing it for exhibitionistic reasons. Maybe he's prone to jock itch, feels fresher with that area but still enjoys his chest hair, has a partner that likes it that way, etc. Just because YOUR eye is drawn to a shaved groin does not mean that was his intention. (Maybe it's indicative of you having a sexual issue that you're eyes are drawn to a smooth pubic area? Are you sure you're applying the "perv" label to the right person?)
3. I have known men to be reported for pictures because someone says they are erect when, in fact, they are not. It could be due to camera angle, physiology/proportions, movement, etc. Do you know the man and his specific anatomy well enough to know for absolute surety?
Many of these "True nudists do/do not..." statements are showing narrow thinking. Your experiences (e.g. "I've never seen...") may not accurately reflect reality at large. If a man is openly masturbating or doing something to deliberately maintain an erection on a nude beach or a TN chat room, then I'd agree that it's inappropriate. But sometimes men have to scratch or their bodies may react. Be an adult and be equal-handed: if you're calling for men to be booted just he becomes tumescent or idly touches that area for a moment, then boot any woman that even momentarily touches her breast, has a shaved groin, or even looks like she has erect nipples.
Making assumptions about another person's intent is no different that when people who don't understand nudism assume it's a sexual fetish/always about sex. Think about it.

- To answer your question directly; simply because, in the first instance, an erection is a sign of sexual arousal. In the second instance, arousal in the public nudist domain is considered offensive. Why? because is (usually) signifies that a man with an erection has sex on his mind and thus is either seeking sex from another individual or is as another has pointed out, is an exhibitionist seeking self gratification. Both has no place in a nudist situation and this website is an extension to a nudist situation.
Just to remind you about your body - You have to remember that the penis has been primarily designed to do two things. One is to past waste, the other is to pass sperm. For the latter, the penis has to be erect to be able to get into the vagina in order for the sperm to have every chance of getting to that egg once it ejaculates. That is all there is too it. Now, in your wakened state, if you have an erection either on a beach, at a nudist resort or sitting in front of your computer either posting these questions or chatting, then your mind is finding something stimulating about whatever you are doing. This does not necessarily mean you wish to have a sexual release, but your mind has been sufficiently stimulated to start the process of having an erection. The longer you maintain that erection, the stronger the stimuli in whatever form you are getting it from. Naturally, if you are manually stimulating it (with your hand) well it will remain erect too, but again, what stimulation is making you wanting to maintain that.
In your sleeping state, your body will have several erections during the course of the night and these usually occur during REM sleep (rapid eye movement) where dreams are mostly likely to occur. Your erection is not because of your drams being sexual, but because the body is doing a self check, the blood surging through your body finding out any inconsistencies within it. And strangely enough too, when the body knows there is a issue, it actually tries and sends you message in your dreams which naturally are not picked up. If you want to know why you have an erection when you wake up, that is because you usally come out of sleep during the state of REM where, as pointed out above, is when your body will naturally have an erection.
Now this has nothing to do with your question, but if you understand how your mind and body works there would be no need for the question generally. And sure, (the body beautiful) is a common saying, whether the penis is erect or not, but that comes back to the eye of the beholder, not as a common acceptance.
