Today is National Beer Day in the U.S. Why? Because on April 7, 1933, Prohibition officially ended and a guy (and gal) could actually go out and have a cold beer without the fear of being set upon by the Feds ! So, sit back an enjoy a cold one today...and "let Freedom ring" !!

April 7, 1933 was the first day alcohol could be legally manufactured and sold in the U.S. (although technically Prohibition ended a few months later). Strange distinction !
