Return to DiscussionsI was wondering what peoples opinions were about being braless at work. I have been in my job (academic) for nearly a year now and decided from day one that I would continue to be braless. Ive noticed that its not very common at all so thought Id ask whether others also did it, or if others have seen it at work.
My previous student job was as a waitress. When I started this job I did wear a bra (only for work though) and after a while decided that it was silly to wear one specifically for work when I never wear one in my private life. I stopped wearing one for my bar job and I think that switching like this made it even more obvious. Thats why i decided for my current job to be braless from the beginning.
Any thoughts on the being braless at a working environment or if its seen as unprofessional etc. Would be great to hear.
Im no expert on the next bit but if protruding nipples would be a problem just a bit of plaster or something over them if you really must?

I agree that covering nipples up is not the way to go, i think acceptance is far better. And you are completely right about this, it can feel like they have a life of their own as they appear to move far more than necessary if i make a tiny movement sometimes.
Mens nipples are almost always visible in a dress shirt, polo, tshirt, etc. The double standard only exists for the same reason overall nudity is not a acceptable as a norm. You may say its different, total nudity or being bra less, but I maintain the core mindset is the very same.
Going Braless at work is great. Years ago when I was a Microbiologist testing manufactured drugs, I worked in a small lab. The a/c did not work too great and when I had the autoclave machine working the room heated up. So working in a t-shirt braless was very comfortable for me. At times my boss would stare at me and I would think is he looking for my nipples? My nips would only get erect when i was cold or if they were stimulated. So I know some ladies do not get hard nips so it would be great for them going braless but some ladies have natural hard nips and if they are braless, the guys eyes are always glued to them!
