Return to DiscussionsWeaselhead is not finished. About a dozen people were there today. The bridge construction seems to be mainly complete with only a few workers there and they did not seem interested in what was happening on the 'beach'. There is also lots of screening by bushes if you are sitting. The path is rough in few spots with some bank erosion and trees down. Still a great retreat in the city.
As of this August, that portion of Stoney Trail seems to be complete as there started to be traffic.
It doesn't seem like it will be much of an issue as the vehicles are speeding by and on the bridge itself they have a privacy wall blocking the view to the beach. Those of us who were there this fall weren't too bothered - there were even times you could barely tell there was traffic.
