Return to DiscussionsI always get nude with a "quick on/off" breechcloth for when I am in narrow channels. I got suckered into canoeing with a large group a couple of years ago and had to stay dressed. It was miserable. I finally got behind everyone and let them get to just barely within earshot and stayed back there. Was nude until just around the last bend for the takeout area.
I go naked as much as possible. My friends know that when I separate myself from the group, I'm nude and if they are "sensitive" all they have to do is not come too close. Some do, and that's fine, but haven't gotten them to join me yet.
when you go out in your canoe or kayak do you always shed your clothes or are you ok with being clothed.
We use our canoes to paddle to a secluded skinny dipping spot on our favorite lake. Not really safe to be nude getting there as there are usually other folks out on the lake. But very few venture up the inlet stream/river where we skinny dip. And we have a good view downstream if we see another boat paddling towards us.

Actually haven't done it nude yet but are planning to this summer if I can find the right spot. With a canoe you are up on the seat and more in plain view than if in a kayak. But alas I do not own a kayak (yet). Maybe when I find a good deal on one and get to spend more time on the water.
different places i paddle have different challenges so not all places can i paddle nude even though i chose a sit in kayak over a sit on for that purpose. i do have coves at a few places that i can enjoy and one river so far once im away from the ramp and first bridge im ok even if another boat approaches i can cover up temporarily .
