Naked hiking in Colorado on a January day

Only in Colorado...
Just finished with a very nice free hike along Colorado 's Front Range. Temps are in the low 70's F and it's a great day to be naked out side. As I write this, the sun is shining, the wind is calm, and I can see snow capped peaks to the west. It doesn't get much better than this.
It's truly a pleasure to live naked in Colorado!!!

That sounds awesome! I visit colorado once a year but I have not been able to do nude hiking. I heard about dream canyon but since I am not from there, I think it is a bit hard to find.

Although I've never visited Dream Canyon, it's not hard to find. Because it's known for it's many rock climbing routes, you can Google climbing in Dream Canyon and find maps. DC is also known as a location where some visitors engage in open promiscuous behavior, much to the dismay of the neighbors. There have been law enforcement actions here from time to time resulting mostlyfrom irresponsible behavior of the canyon's visitors. Both nude and textile visitors have been known to leave trash and block the residents driveways by inconsiderate parking of their vehicles, all of which constitute generally rude behavior. Should you decide to visit, please treat the canyon and it's residents with respect and courtesy. A better choice might be Valley View Hot Springs located in south central Colorado. The springs are located on the grounds of the Orient Land Trust and have camping and hiking in addition to the hot springs. All in a nude safe environment.

Where did you manage a nude hike on the front range? Was it still a little icy?

I second the motion for Valley View Hot Springs, aka Orient Land Trust. That place is wonderful! Great people, great facilities, beautiful views, and even a bat cave!
If you tire of hiking the trails at the springs, Garner Creek Trail is very close by, just a short walk down the road or across a field. I free hiked there about 8 miles out and back and didn't see a single person the entire time. Very peaceful.
Of course that was a couple years ago in August. It might be tough to do anything but soak in the hot springs in January. : )

I'm glad to see we finally haverenewed activity in this group. With any luck as we move toward spring, the activity will continue to rise with the thermometer!
Most of the places I free hike are right along the base of the foothills west of the Denver metro area. This day found me just west of Rocky Flats on county Open Space land. There's really nothing there but wide open spaces, no facilities, no real trails, generally nothing to attract people (as long as you don't count the sweeping views of the Great Plains to the east and the panoramic views of the Flatirons and foothills to the west!). Makes it perfect for a close to town, short hike or tanning session. If you are creative in choosing your route, you can get in a hike of 2-3 miles. Nowhere near an 8 miler (and no bats!) but very pleasant on a warm January day. On Tuesday with the high reaching 75 in Denver, snow and ice was only to be found in the most deeply shaded recesses. Good for enjoying some rare naked winteroutdoor time but not so good for fire danger later this summer. Should anyone decide to explore this or other similar areas, please treat them with courtesy and respect. There are a few neighbors, all of these areas are used by textiles (the few I've encountered have treated me with the same courtesy and respect I've extended to them), and allare patrolled by Rangers. Please don't build fires, pack out your trash, and pick-up trash left by others.
If treated with respect, these areas will remain hidden gems for close to home naked getaways.
