Driving nude and semi trucks
Return to DiscussionsSo I have about an hour and a half drive home from work each night. The first half of the drive is all interstate and the latter is back woods in Alabama. Over the last month or so, Ive began to strip down to nothing during my drive. I get my shirt unbuttoned and off, then the undershirt. It feels so relieving. Then I pull my pants and underwear down to my ankles (keeping them around my legs Incase I have to quickly pull them back on). Again, the feeling is freeing and relaxing. Its usually close to dark during my commute. However, sometimes theres still enough sun that the interstate part of the journey allows for truckers to see me nakie.
This hasnt been an issue, I doubt that most drivers look over at the cars that pass them, I know I rarely look into others cars. There has only been two incidents over these last few weeks. The first, I noticed a truck kept getting next to my vehicle. I assumed it was coincidence but the frequency was enough that I noticed the behavior. I pass him, he gets into the other lane and speeds up, then slows as he is parallel to my car. I eventually look over after this happened maybe four times and see the guy is giving me a big thumbs up and smiling. I just waved back and kept on my route.
The other incident, however, left me bothered. Im minding my own naked business (its not like Im sporting an erection) and this truck I had passed flashed his lights at me. I make sure my headlights are on (usual reason people flash their lights), all good, then I just kept about my drive. Not 30 seconds later, same trucker is next to me again. I hadnt noticed at first, kinda just spaced out a bit, but when I did and when I looked over at him, he had his phone out and appeared to be recording me.
Whatever dude, I aint shy about that, get your film on, but imma keep at my own pace and ignore you. Dude kept gesturing at me enough to where I noticed several times in my peripheral vision before eventually giving in and looking over. He was still recording me and when he noticed I looked over, he gestured to the exit that was about half a mile ahead. My first thought was that he was hoping Id follow him off the exit for some sexual reason. Not gonna happen man. There was a police car on the side of the road, right before the exit, I assume due to the construction and the orange cone blocker things. No idea otherwise why this cop was chilling on the side of the road. Anyway, I kept my gaze forward and just minded my speed and stayed on my route.
Homie then pulls up BEHIND THE COP and stops!! I kept driving and only noticed as I looked back to make sure that the camera guy wasnt still going my direction. Nothing became of this (though it was only two days ago) but Im assuming ole boy showed/gave the cop his recording of me driving naked. Im not certain, the internet isnt always reliable, but from what I gather it doesnt look to be legal to drive naked in Florida. -work in FL., live in AL.
Again, nothing sexual was going on, I was just driving and trying to enjoy the relaxing feeling of being freed of my clothes. But the situation has me a bit on edge. Ideally, the cop got on to my trucker filmography enthusiast for recording other people while driving a huge vehicle and left it at that. Butttt I kinda want to keep my clothes on moving forward.
Just thought Id share my experience and see if anyone else can relate.
Funny to read your experience about the semi driver because the same thing happened to me in the days before smart phones. I enjoyed the freedom of driving naked and like you didn't care if I was watched or admired. But the driver got too close to my car and stopped on the shoulder and tried to get me to stop, which made me feel vulnerable. Therefore I generally don't drive fully exposed.
I also realize what stressful and often monotonous jobs truck drivers have and admire your willingness to provide some eye candy relief. In any case, stay safe and remember that driving naked may not mean much, but getting too close to people who are driving while stupid should be avoided. Good luck.
I have driven nude a few times since I became a nudist. I don't particularly like the high profile vehicles next to me and try to avoid being next to them other than to pass.
Decided the best thing is to have two towels, one to sit on and one to cover with when appropriate. I don't really care as much about the truckers as the buses because of children.
On our way home from Cypress Cove last year, I didn't dress for the drive home. I was too comfortable after a week sans clothes.
They sure have a lot of toll booths in Florida, But the extra towel served well. One toll booth operator called me out as a tourist because I didn't have a shirt on.
Little did he know.....
I go to Fort Lauderdale every year and drive naked most of the trip, when I pass trucks I drive a little quicker by them so they really can't look it, plus I have a little darker tint on my windows. If he didn't get your license plate the police can't do anything,
I also hope / believe that if the driver showed his video to the cop, he would have been done for dangerous driving, or whatever the equivalent is .
I do agree with Olly though, having your pants around your knees/ankles and getting undressed while driving is unsafe.
Many times while driving past these lorries I glance up into their main drivers mirror and 99% of the time I only see the side of the drivers head which shows s/he is concentrating on the driving and wouldn't realise if I was driving past him/her nude.
I enjoy driving nude to and from work in the summer practically everyday. In the morning I dont even bother getting dressed at home, I just toss my clothes into the car and hit the road. I'll strip naked in the car as I leave work, when I get home I just grab my clothes and head into the house. I'm on the interstate for about 30 minutes each way, it's rare that any truckers acknowledge that they have seen me naked.
