daring home project that sets me up to be more daring in the future

My 30 plus yr old clothesline post finally rotted at the base and tipped over. It is an utility pole with plenty of height. In the 30 yrs at that location the trees and bamboo have grown up such that it was in too much shade in the morning. But that also meant it was totally out of sight of the road. So I regularly hung towels and sheets out while nude. Yesterday I cut the pole off and relocated it to a much sunnier part of the yard. But this new spot is in view of the road. I dug the hole and set it in place all while bare mid day yesterday. I got sackcrete last night and will pour that into today while bare too. In the future my towel and sheet hanging will still be done bare, I will just have to listen for the occasional car while I do it. I did some other yard projects around the house all of them nude and often in view of the road. Only time I did cover up was the short time up on the ladder trimming some limbs that brushed the roof. That was a bit too exposed for even me.

That's not a clothes line, it is a solar powered clothes dryer. It utilizes the latest advancements in solar and wind power technology to dry the clothes without consuming natural resources or contributing to pollution or global warming. It even has a "gentle" cycle for delicates that uses wind power alone if you use it only at night.

In the UK what you are doing would be perfectly legal, regardless of how visible you are.
I suppose that would make it not daring at all.

It may not be illegal, but to many it is socially unacceptable, which is often much worse

The thing is trying to work out what people who live near you are really like over nudity. Lucky I live outside a village but there is/was two people in the nearest village who are nude in their gardens and in one case a public footpath goes through it. There are some who are involved in the church of at least one to me wouldn't be bothered over nudity and another one who is moving out of the village I don't think would be bothered. In this case the lady living on the other side of the lane from him has good as said she is nude in her garden. Yes there will be a few prim and proper people but they will few and far between.

It's early days for saying public nudity is perfectly legal in the UK. The police are still learning. And that's why we don't get lots of people wandering around town naked. It is social acceptability which matters. Once in a while it's fun to be seen naked (and I do it too). It's the feeling of being naughty when naked in the "wrong" place. And it's the risk of being caught that makes it daring. But if lots of nudists went round upsetting people the law would be changed. Advice is to be aware of the feelings of those around you.

BTW this also applies in countries like Spain where public nudity hasn't been illegal for a long time. The warm/hot weather might entice us out of our clothes too. But even there nudists rarely strip off on popular town beaches

There used to be a advanced solar and wind powered drying machine that ran right along the Indiana / Michigan stateline . if the wind was from the west the clothes dried in Michigan if from the east they got dry in Indiana. So a 2 state must be super advanced right?

Still the best way to dry sheets and towels. Love the freshness once on the bed.

I would not say that is any more an advancement of technology, but merely more of a matter of placement. But I imagine that at certain times of the year the clothes could be freeze dried. LOL.

What you are saying is not to go up a street with shops nude on a Saturday mid morning when there will be many people around which don't understand nudity, but say do it mid evening on a Tuesday when there will be very few people around.

The real point of my first post is that the sort of naked garden chores referred to in the original post would certainly not be prosecutable and anybody reporting them to the police should be told to go away and not waste police time by the call handler if they are properly following the latest police guidance.
However, although going shopping naked is technically legal, the police wold probably respond to any report to check that it is not a case of mental disturbance or some sort of sexual activity.
