Return to DiscussionsI attended a weekend concert in another city. Left there about 10pm and drove the 5+ hours (counting stops) home wearing nothing. It was a good drive. I had to stop once for gas and once for a bathroom break. I put on boxer briefs for those stops. I pulled into my driveway and got out naked.
Shadowland, that sounds like a FUN and successful nude drive. I love long nude drives and have done the 3+ hour nude drive from home to Sydney several times, both at night and in the day time.
What is the legal status of driving nude in NSW?
As you probably know, in the US it varies by state.
Minimalist, I have yet to OFFICIALLY verify it BUT it is my understanding (and belief) that it is totally LEGAL to drive naked in New South Wales. Last year I watched a television episode of "State Patrol" in which an officer pulled a man over for a minor violation ( he had a broken tail light) and he was totally naked. When he was stopped, he pulled a small towel over his lap. He passed the officer's portable breathalyzer and the officer gave him a "fix-it" ticket and sent him on his way... all on a statewide televised program. NO mention was made of the fact that the gentleman was driving nude.
One of the houses in my neighborhood sold recently and the new owner is a police officer. I fully intend to get HIS input on the question! I may have to get to KNOW HIM a bit before I tactfully and diplomatically pose the question to him but, given that I like to drive naked quite a bit AND I don't want to be misled by what I saw on television, I am VERY interested in what he knows of the legality of nude driving in New South Wales!

As far as I know ( See the previous reply to Minimalist) WE are fortunate that nude driving is legal in our state! Living in what I consider to be a bit of a RURAL area, driving from home to Sydney involves driving through the town and a bit of the countryside to get to the freeway, and then a 3 hour drive to the city. The last time I did that drive, I managed to go portal-to-portal, totally naked. I got naked BEFORE I got in my car in my driveway... and STAYED naked until I got to my destination in Sydney. Loved it!
I have often wondered if it was legal to drive naked here, as long as your genitals are not visible to the public while you drive. That may be described as indecent exposure?
Handy knowing you can go naked to your car in your driveway, if you invite me around for a coffee I could leave home naked. Lol
