Driving naked in rental cars
Return to DiscussionsI have, yes. A couple of years ago I had flown into Portland, OR and and rented a car. I had to go to Seattle, WA which is a couple of hours drive and had been at Collins nude beach. While it was necessary to put on a little something to get to the car and out of that area, I soon lost the clothes and drove north. That is a very busy stretch of highway and there are a lot of trucks on it. I kept a towel handy to cover strategic parts when passing a truck on its left. I pulled into the hotel parking lot in Seattle, slipped on some shorts, and checked into the room. It definitely made for a better drive.
My car, work truck, rental car, all done nude. As long as you have something between your bottom and the seat, there is no reason not to drive nude.
My first long distance nude drive was in a rental car. In 1977 I worked for a car rental agency. I was sent to pick up a car in Lone Pine, CA and bring it back to the office in Van Nuys. Per Google maps that is almost 200 miles. The car was an AMC Pacer. For those not old enough to know what that is, it was also known as a fish bowl on wheels. Most of the drive was done after sunset so there was little risk of being seen but it did make for a more comfortable drive.
Driving trip coming up soon. We've rented a vehicle and I'll be driving that one naked, as usual! First leg of the trip will be about 4+ hours and looking forward to that long naked drive. Then naked again the following morning for another 4 hr naked drive to our destination. The drive home will be one continuous drive home with stops in Death Valley for some opportune naked pics of my lovely wife in the desert! ;D
When driving naked I always take my clothes off while driving and then dress again when it is close to time to get out of the car. I do this on a highway and while the car is in cruise control. My problem with rental cars is that many of them don't have cruise control. I have learned to request that feature on all rentals now.
Definitely OK. I am as comfortable driving a rental car nude as my own. Just returned from a 13 day trip in a warm climate where I had a Nissan Versa rental. I did about 3/4 of my driving nude. Sat on a sarong or towel, shorts in reach. Sometimes with a nudist buddy as passenger; he didn't get naked but he had no problem with me.
Two years ago I drove to Phoenix from Pearblossom to attend a reunion. I decided the best thing was to rent a car for a week. Better mileage and less likely to break down. I drove naked from Palm Springs to Phx. On the return trip I stopped at the hot springs near Tonopah. I had a great soak in the company of a woman who said she was an author doing a story about hot springs in the West. Good conversation. Sadly, I don't remember her name and can't look for her book or article.
I know this is an old thread but what the hell.
The only problem with rental cars is that none of them have window tint. Especially for day driving nude. Not really interested in being seen. Just like the feeling. So although I have driven nude in rental cars for long empty highways, it is more enjoyable with my car that at least has a little tint.
