Driving naked in New South Wales Australia i
Return to DiscussionsI drive regularly naked from the shopping centre back home which is about 1/2 hour drive and it just feels amazing only issue is I dont know the law in regards to driving naked in my state and not sure how to find out the regulations any help would be appreciated thanks
I cannot recall the specific wording of the NSW act (or even its title) but in Victoria the Summary Offenses Act prohibits exposing the genitals or anus in a public space or a private space that's visible from a public space. I suspect it would come down to the latter with the argument being could another party have a reasonable view from outside, either from another vehicle or as a passing pedestrian. My experience suggests the chances in reality are low but never zero (a bus drawing alongside while you're waiting at a red traffic light being the worst I can imagine) so law enforcement could pursue in that direction.
There may be a case from a magistrates' or other court that gives a useful precedent in interpretation , but I have no idea how to search such a thing.
The other unknown is whether it would be a on-the-spot fine or a court summons.
