First Times - We All Have Stories to tell!
Return to DiscussionsThere are a lot of posts on TN about the first time going nude - from people who haven't done it yet and are feeling apprehensive and from people recounting their experiences, sometimes in response to questions asked. A factor commonly dsecribed is trepidation - being so worried or scared that taking that first step seems impossible to do without help.
It seemed a good idea to cast the net a bit wider and ask for posts on any "first time" experiences which group members might like to contribute.
Check for my next post. I hope other group members might then make their own contributions.

Is this about the first time going nude, the first time being nude in public or the first time being seen without pubic hair? Pamela, I have a feeling you were seen naked by your photographic friends before you shaved off your pubes. Great story though, as always.
As with many others,I'd been secretly naked many times as a child, so no big deal. But my first public nudity left a lasting memory. It was on Brighten beach accompanied by my wife and her lady friend, who both stayed clothed. There were four highlights. As I stripped off my wife's friend exclaimed "Oh you are a little boy" looking at my penis. I misunderstood her to emphasise the word "little" and exclaimed that I grew when it mattered. I noticed that everyone else was naked, mostly men. A man walked the length of the water's edge attracting attention. But view of his genitals was hidden by a large Pan-Am shoulder bag. Then he turnedrevealing a full bush of fluorescent pink pubic hair. The entire beach let out a spontaneous gasp. Then he soaked up the adulation as he paraded back along the waters edge. There was a beauty contest in town - the sort where tan lines or strap lines were a definite no no. They were on the beach topping up their bronzed bodies. An overdressed ice-cream vendor came on the beach. I queued up for three ice creams behind one of those beauty queens. Having bought hers she turned and stunned me into speechless stupidity. I think I might have remembered what ice creams to get. Then, with hands full of ice cream I realized I had no pockets for my change. Well I was new to this nudism! So we'd been lying on the beach amongst all these nudes. Then a couple got up. She slipped on a completely see-through dress (and nothing else) to leave the beach. This was so much more sexy than their previous nudity.
I'm naturally very hairy and my first few nudist years were with a full bush of pubic hair. (There are still some early photos of my hairy self here on TN.) The first time I shaved it off was not long before a charity challenge over an army obstacle course with my work mates. There was the inevitable gang shower at the end. I was very self conscious as it was unusual to be without pubic hair in those days. But nobody commented.

I was seen naked by quite a few boyfriends before I posed at the photo club, and one of them was the first to shave me. It had grown back by the time I posed nude for a whole group of photographers - I won't say how many years between, but certainly more than one. Add up your sums Olly and stop being a smart-arse. I say that in the nicest possible way!

Adolescence seems to go on forever when it is happening - I am sure we could fill many discussions topics with our recollections and reminiscences. Looking out old photos seems to jog many memories, for me at least.

Guess my story is a bit different. I have always been hairless except for the time I was in the Service..back in the 50s and early 60's my sister and I were nude models for my artist mother. When we started sprouting hair she shaved us to keep the young look for her camera. As I got older I began shaving myself basically because it felt right. Some of the girls I went with found it disgusting, but most loved it. Several even tried shaving themselves. Remember this was way before it became fashionable.All of our nudist friends were well acquainted with my sisters and my hairless appearance from normal coming and goings or from the beach as were our gym classmates. Most of them looked at us as eccentrics not as harbingers of what was to come.
