Heated Car Seats
Return to DiscussionsI'm happy to say none of my cars have that feature and I prefer the weather to be hot so I can enjoy windows-down motoring with glorious warm airflow. I'd be worried about overheating with heated seats and too much consequent sweat! I did once take a test drive (or perhaps it was a rental) with a car so-equipped so naturally I set the seat my wife was in to the highest setting to see the reaction. It didn't take long! :-)
I also prefer warm weather when I can drive with the top down wearing just shorts, no shirt or footwear.
However, when it is cold, I do like to put the seat heater on low, just until the car warms up and regular hear is available.
My wife likes to run it on max for the entire trip. I sometimes wonder why she doesn't get first degree burns on her rear!
Unless its warm weather my seat heaters are always on. Its definitely beneficial when driving naked as well. Without underwear it is felt more without the extra layer.
My wifes seat heaters get much hotter than my car and I cant run them on high for very long. I have to turn them down after it heats up or it would burn my @$$!
I turn on the seat heat as soon as I get in the car in the early am. I leave for work before it's light and even here it's in the 40's. I can immediately feel the heat radiating on my almost bare ass - with one thin layer of trousers from naked. Feels great - better than the actual heat on. naked man
