This is a group for men who enjoy Freeballing, going Commando, oh heck, just plain not wearing underwear! It is an un-necessary piece of very restrictive clothing. When we are nude, our equipment hangs free, why not when we are dressed! Share experiences and stories about your times freeballing, and how you got started.

Freeballing at the doctor's office

Sounds like a cliche topic I know..but I wanted to put this out here for my fellow freeballers. I generally don't wear underwear and I have been wearing them less and less at work as well. Sometimes, depending on the material of my slacks or khakis I would wear boxers only, but I decided to just rid myself of underwear all together despite my attire. This applies to work, running errands or at the gym etc. I do run and I will keep some snug shorts or under gear just to keep things from being jolted around.
Now, to my point, I have an appointment for yearly check up and with a new doctor at the VA next week and I wanted input from any freeballers out there in regards to wearing or not wearing underwear to my appointment. I would prefer to stick to my guns and stay underwear free, but not sure if there might be an issue or if anyone has ever experienced an issue while at the doctor's office? I have observed over the years how sometimes the doctors barely lift my shirt to check me out or listen to my heart and lungs etc. I am not sure how "complete" this check up will be as it is the first time I will meet with this new doc. My previous primary care doc at the VA was a female although she never examined me and always referred me to her intern, which was male. Male or female, does not matter to me, again, just looking for thoughts or input on my upcoming freeball or not doctor's visit. Thanks and hope ya'll have a great day!

Except for my urologist, no one would know if I was wearing underwear or not. At my annual physicals, I've never even had to take off my shoes. I think American doctors are afraid of the human body nowadays. I've never understood how a doctor can do a thorough physical exam on a fully clothed patient. It wasn't that way when I was a kid.Thankfully I do not have any Doctors like that I have always had to undress for my physicals.

Johnatlanta, most of mine are three to four inches, and the fact he may or may not have seen you, what does it matter? People in the medical profession are use to that, or at least should be. I always free ball to the doctors office and don't really care if he sees anything or not. There was a time when you would goto the doctor you was always undressed to your undies, or nothing if you did not wear them.Doctors have had to become a lot more conservative because of all the prudishness among, I don't think that any of them would admit it but they probably enjoy seeing others goods when the opportunity arises

I go for my annual in 10 days! I fired my doctor of about 12 years after my physical last January. He never would look below my belt and very reluctantly did an DRE. In fact, he was barely back there at all and quickly out. I saw a urologist last fall and he spent a surprising amount of time feeling around and pressing until he was satisfied it was okay. This took about 30-45 seconds. Anyway, asked a buddy for a new doctor and he recommended his doctor, a woman over by Piedmont Hospital. We talked about what she did on the annual he he assured me she puts you in a gown and checks everything. When I first visited her for a six month check up she told me her annuals are quite different and take about an hour. I am looking forward to this visit. I also fired my dermotologist around the same time as the GP because during a full body search, he did not bother to look under my underwear until I asked him to check so mething. I went to another woman for the full body search twice now and she examines me in my underwear on the table, then has me lie back and takes my shorts down front and back to check there as she does every where else. This fixation with fear of nudity by men is just maddening. even saw an endocrinologist, also a female, who asked me to take off my shirt, but had no reason to look below the belt. My urologist is a male and dropping trou in his office is pretty routine.

While I usually wear a small thong to the doctors, I have never had any problems with male or female doctors not wanting my underwear totally removed for the relevant examinations.
Some of the posts here seem totally odd.

I'm glad to hear your input. Thank you for the information because I just started going commando and was a bit nervous about having my physical without underpants underneath and what my doctor would think. I was worried about nothing! He didn't even blink, although he could tell I was a bit embarrassed. Plus, if you think about it, for a physical, going commando means taking off less!

It is shameful that this discussion has turned into a realization about the state of health care and even doctors are afraid of the human body but it's a very valid concern. Either that or they are afraid that their patient will be offended and not come back.

My last physical was very different and almost felt abbreviated to some extent with my new doc. My prior doc checked my entire body even the guy specific features. I wish he had not retired. My current doc is otherwise a great doc but I'm thinking that this societal fear and paranoia is at the expense of a thorough exam.

For next years exam I'm going in barely dressed to start. I'm thinking about a pair of thin and short inseam running shorts, tank top and flip flops.

I think this could be partly down to the claim culture these days as the doctors think their patients could claim they were grouped by their doctor to get money out of them.

And the answer to that, for the doctor, is to have a nurse or assistant also present as a witness. My doctor is old-school, and appreciates that I don't need to hide the very parts he's trying to examine or work on.

It is such a shame that everyone has to be this careful of being accused of sexual misconduct, including the medics. The last time I was in hospital was in Spain. There was no problem with them all gathering round my naked self as they discussed my condition and treatment. As for my UK doctor: he/she has so little time for each consultation there is no time for an examination. I think I have acquired a tattoo (regular profile viewers will know where) and two nipple piercings since the last time they examined me. But if they want to call in a nurse for security I'm more than happy to strip naked in front of both of them.

They don't examime there unless specific issues there occur so it is a null point in general.
But i don't bother regardless.
If i am going to dr or hospital i have nothing to hide anyway.
