Return to DiscussionsAre there settings where you are naked around other guys, e.g. gym lockers, communal showers, spa, etc. and you remove your ring because you dont want to make others feel uncomfortable seeing it or are you not concerned about what others may or may not think?
Im one who has a foot in both camps. At my club, where I play tennis and golf on a regular basis , I choose to leave my ring at home. Any other setting its installed. The sight of it more often than not is an ice breaker. Frequently it causes a conversation, both verbal and/or body language.
Depends. The sort of weather that has me thinking about wearing rings is the same weather that has me wanting to visit the beach. If anything, I may occasionally wear less or none, if I know they're going to be seen although, to be honest, I've never had direct feedback either way. I'm usually not the only one to wear a ring but they are rare and, being metal, tend to glisten in the sunlight based on what I've seen of others'.
I have reached the stage where I don't worry about what others think so much... I wear one at the beach and when skinny dipping at my local lake, and at the sauna... occasionally at the beach my steel rings (or perhaps their effects) have attracted compliments...

Sometimes I'm in that space and sometimes I consider it a little. Others' posts on TN suggest the fullest possible spectrum of opinions on those who wear them. Perhaps I should just worry less. :-)
I wear a variety of glans rings daily. I'm new at this but I embrace the look. I had a recent visit to a urologist. The female nurse had me drop my pants and there it was for her to see. Truthfully, I didn't give it a thought. She made no comment, but she never made eye contact with me for the rest of the exam. I have an appointment with my regular doctor (female) coming up in January. I plan to wear a ring for that visit as well. I have been smooth of pubic hair and am not embarrassed to be seen. I see glans rings in the same way.
I often wore a cock ring of some sort when my wife was still at home as she quite liked the look.
Even now that she is in care, I am still wearing something, even a glans ring.
When I am out walking or swimming at the beach there is often a cock ring on under my speedos and some people do look but never comment.
Oh I love wearing my gland ring. I forgot about it as I got a hip X-ray. Oops
The X-ray looked great. You could see the ring clearly. But I cant wait for my next Doc opportunity. Wont wear the c-ring to see them but yes on like the gland.
I own 6 quality steel glans rings and wear one or another 24/7 and 366 days . The singular difference between them is the weight. Everyone who sees me nude at home, outdoors, hiking, at other mens homes, at the gym, on the beach and in the doctors office is totally aware. Many have no comment. Others have curiosity questions. Still other guys have positive comments. I never remove my ring unless medical requirement or airline, courthouse or other screening requires that I do so. Yes, it stays on during sex.
At the gym, on the beach or at other nude events or locations I frequently see men wearing cock rings. That includes both straight and gay men. I rarely have the pleasure of seeing a guy wearing ball weights. I guess about 15-20% of nude guys wear cock rings.
On two occasions years apart I have seen guys wearing a locked steel chastity cage at the gym or on a hike. Both times they were both questioned and complimented by several others.
