I slept naked long before becoming a nudist
Return to DiscussionsI started sleeping naked about 50 years ago. Many non-nudists sleep naked, as I did. I started sunbathing nakedjust undertenyears later. Soon after that I moved into a household where my lover and her children regularly saw me naked, but only in and around the bed room. Maybe I've been a would-be nudist for a long time but I only really branched out into nudism when I joined TN in 2010 and went on my first nude holiday in 2011. It was the first of many.
I can't really remember which came first, sleeping naked, or routinely GETTING naked. I have always loved being naked, and even when I was a small kid, my parents had a lot of trouble keeping my clothes on me! It's a good thing my wife and children were tolerant of my nudity! They've all accompanied me to my favorite nude beach almost every trip to the coast. My wife's even begun getting naked WITH me on that beach, but only when we're alone!
I started sleeping naked around the age of 12 or 13. I didn't become a true nudist until my late 20's. It also had the typical evolution of being naked at home on hot days, to taking my clothes off as soon as I walk through the door, then going to my first clothing optional beach (Sauvies Island near Portland, OR) then going to some nudist group functions.

I started sleeping nude well over 30 years ago....and a nudist about 15. Have found it more fulfilling to embrace the nude lifestyle, and feel way more comfortable about myself and being around other nudists.
I began sleeping naked when I ws around 8 or 9 y/o. just after puberty I began shedding clothes. I even began to run naked in the morning through the subdivision before school. By the time I entered eighth grade I knew I was a nudist. I was picked up by the police knce in the 9th grade. I had managed to reclothe before the caught up to on foot through the woods near my home. I was one of the only kids to strip naked and shower in front of the group throughout high school. Many teased and made fun of me and a few others. It wasn't taboo in the 70's, but the Jesuit Priests weren't eager for devient behavior. By college I didn't care what others thought. I walked the halls without clothes and even studied in the lounge undressed. I've never slept with clothes on since.

I slept naked for a long time was just more comfortable for me, and gradually though If im in my house why do i bother getting dressed I find it more comfortable with out clothes and saves on the washing. :)
My wife at the time did not like it, thought it was un-sanitary and worried about our son coming in and seeing me naked. I kept it up and I told my son that I sleep naked and if he needed to come into the room at night to simply knock and I'd wake up and cover. That did happen a few times and no one was worse for the wear.
A son seeing his dad naked should not be a big deal. I can see an objection over the opposite sex parent, but the same sex should not be an issue at all. I didn't grow up in a naked home, but I saw my dad naked a few times over the years (and vice versa) and it was no huge deal.
