Return to DiscussionsMy health club has gang showers for 12 guys. I have a problem when I wash my genitals I get an erection; even at home.Well, it happened at the club. I had nothing with which to cover itso I faced the shower wall. The guy next to me did a side glance and got his eye full. He was the next erection. Before I knew it about five or six were sporting one. The interesting part is that none of them were embarrassed or tried to hide them. That was unbelievable to me. I guess the were exhibitionists or the sight oferections was exciting to them.Anybody had the same experience or can offer an explanation?
I was at a nudist resort this past weekend. I woke up with an erection like many men do if not most men. I did not have a bathroom in my cabin. I walked to the bathroom nude with a full erection. I just had to pee and it would go back down naturally. In direct path to the bathroom was a tent with a man and woman who were outside their tent. I waved and said good morning. NO embarrassment, no worries and no fear. Just like in a open shower, if I got an erection that was natural it was and is just part of nature for a male. So what if one or all in the open shower gets an erection. No reason to be ashamed to be male. So what if you or someone else gets and erection just by seeing another male with one in the shower...it happens man and it does not have to mean anything except that all are males. Just love life, being who you are and enjoy being nude.
I agree that there is no shame in a spontaneous erection in the shower! I wish I had more of them, especially in the shower at the YMCA!My Y has individual showers with curtains, but most of the time I don't close the curtain completely & I have noticed guys stop or even while walking by my stall theyback up to take a look! I sure wish they had gang showers, but oh well.We do have separate whirlpool & sauna in the men's locker area. The whirlpool has a rule that you have to wear "appropriateswimwear", but most of the young guys wear stretchy boxer briefs that don't have a fly or stretchy, tight shorts like Under Armour & the old guys were traditional baggy swimsuits. In thesauna therearen't any rules, soguys will go in there in just a towel. So far I haven't seen any guys jacking& no hard-ons, but some of the guys don't stay covered up.
I agree that there is no shame in a spontaneous erection in the shower!
I used to use the gang showers in the city where I used to live. I was there once and only one other guy was also in the shower. He was sudsing his erected penis and while doing so was staring at me. I ignored him but my thought was, "I don't care how clean you get that thang, I am not touching it!"
There is a gang shower room at my gym. I enjoy it most when there are other guys in there and I have no problem with washing any part of my body. I do get a longer-than-average look sometimes because I am a smoothie and that is fine with me!

It has everything to do with it. Why dont you guys just find a bathhouse. Gyms are not for sexual purposes as you have described.

My gym has gang showers and separate sauna and stream room...all
men check out each does not matter if gay bi and straight it just
what men do and those that are most comfortable in their skin are
going to have no problem seeing another man with an erection and
worry that they might get one as well...it's those that turned to
the wall that are uncomfortable in their skins.

Yeah I agree it should be gang showers, no reason to be ashamed and plus nothing wrong with looking especially a group of guys. Great bonding experience I think. At my gym it's a stall and curtain, wish I knew of some gang showers in phoenix to visit
