Sugaring for hair removal...

Return to Discussions

I "bit the bullet" last month and went for a "Brozilian" and butt sugaring session. It was amazing and much less painful than waxing. My only regret is being somewhat conservative in how much I had the aesthetician take off. My next visit will definitely have a more expansive area done. The studio/salon and the aesthetician were both a tremendously comfortable and positive experience...I think I might become addicted!

I don't see much posted about sugaring or sugaring vs. waxing... What are your thoughts or experiences? I'm particularly interested in the comparison between professional waxing vs. sugaring in terms of satisfaction with the look , longevity, and technician experience...

I have had both and find waxing gives me a much smoother feel and lasts far longer than sugaring. Agree sugaring is far more comfortable and less painful for newbies but I have been getting waxed for over 8 years and it is not that uncomfortable anymore especially if I keep on top of it and get waxed about every 8 weeks or so the hair is fine and easy to remove.

I tried my first waxing like 6months ago and it wasnt bad at all. I am not 100% smooth as I keep my pubes trimmed and my balls and nipples are totally smooth. Since there is not
Much to remove, I decided to purchase my own wax kit from Walmart for $12. Ive been waxing my balls and nipples since. Much cheaper than paying $45 everytime every 6 to 8 weeks.

Oh I need someone in our small town. Miss getting it done in Phoenix. There I had both done.

I have never tried sugaring. I have been getting a full Brazilian wax for close to 20 years. First in SLC by a female who also had a Vici shower table. I would go every 6 weeks. Since moving to Arizona, I found a guy in Tucson who does a great job and charges about half the cost of the salons. He has a full beauty shop in his home and is licensed for waxing as well as hair service for both genders.
