Return to DiscussionsIf you were to actually READ my entire profile (who does?) you'd find that my darling wife of 47+ years is not a 'non', but rather a limited nudist. She's hardly ever naked around the house whereas I am every chance I get, and I promise you she'll never grace the TN site !! Nude beaches? Uh uh. However, we are blessed in NW Oregon to have 3 resorts fairly close and she enjoys those because of the safety, security and structured atmosphere. So in reality all is not lost. :-)
My wife classifies herself as a non-nudist spouse. Yet, we go to a "nude mandatory" resort; and not only does she enjoy the venue, but she has no problem spending the entire day - or week end - naked there.
The reason why she doesn't consider herself a "real nudist" is because she feels she doesn't have the "urge" to be naked as much as possible; especially at home. I've tried to explain to her that just being comfortable nude around other people is "enough" to be a nudist; but if she doesn't want to label herself a nudist, that's fine by me. I think it's actually quite common for a lot of women who just enjoy recreational nudity.
My Luann has said she is not a true nudist more than once. My brain is wired to figure things out and it's a good thing or I would have starved to death in the service business. We are very active members at our club, live naked and she loves to host nude get togethers at our home, all vaca's are nude destinations so I didn't understand it. Of course I have to keep poking for an answer to my quandary which I could see was uncomfortable for her or I was annoying her. Go figure??
In the end I finally clearly understood. She does not like being labeled. She is an artist with very creative thinking and does not like being "boxed" in. In her former life before me in short she was very boxed in. It would also hurt her conservative parents which she is very close with if she was a nudist. Her brother has figured it out however they are close and cover for each other when need be and he would rather ignore it.
Nudony I just had to come to the point as best as I could she is nude most times when not in the general public or when our kids are here. Perhaps one day I will learn to shut my pie hole and give her some peace. She is my enigma.
Mrs. J&C is also a "non-nudist" who gets nude at the resort we go to. She will put on a tee-shirt when we walk around the camp, but she is also fair skinned. At the dances she will wear a see-thru half sarong, but has been known to take that off as well. When we head home she does not go nude in the house, so she is more of a vacation nudist. Prior to this year I didn't go nude much in the house either, but since COVID we added a home gym and I work out nude then remain nude for the rest of the evening. That has slowly been expanded to nude while working from home on Mondays and Fridays as well. Last night I noticed her looking through the lots for sale at our local nudist camp, so maybe I can get her to start wearing less at home as well.
