My first on topic video

Return to Discussions

I started this group because I know there are plenty of people who enjoy nature as nature intended and wanted somewhere to let people see my first video on the subject.
It can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/134996064

I have been enjoying some naked snorkelling on holiday in the Canary Island and uploaded a few frame grabs from the video footage which I took to the group gallery.

I've enjoyed your videos. And I've wondered about the camera you use.
I've been looking at video cams on Amazon but haven't been able to find the right combination of features, quality, and price. Your zoom looks great. That's something I'd be interested in. And I've just recently discovered cams with wifi for remote control use with a smart phone. I'd like to find something that wouldn't be financially devastating if dropped overboard or stolen though. So I'll probably be window shopping for awhile.

I nw have several cameras: a GoPro, a four year old panasonic video camera and a pocket camera which also takes compatible video.
This is the resut of upgrading my kit from time to time as the money becomes available but some of my most enjoyable video recording has been with a 60 fixed focus camera from a chain store.
The most important thing to spend money on is a video editing software which you find easy to use.
I will make no reccomendations - try all the packages you can afford using their free trial period and pay for the one that suits you best.
