I may be one of the biggest proponents of Bird Island as a place to sun your buns. The prime area is past the kindred spirit mail box which is @ 1 3/4 miles past the 40th street crossover. When you get to @ 50 yards past that youll probably see people set up and clothed. Dont worry. Just set up ( but not creepy close ) , make sure there arent any textile walkers, and strip off. Its not that we are not friendly, but that we are cautious with strangers. Btw, topless and thongs are legal on the Reserve. The Reserve was recently expanded by about 35 acres toward the crossover, but Im not sure how Sunset Beach patrol will enforce that new, formally town regulated area.
