How do you think you would react

Return to Discussions

Ok we know of a few celebrities that have come out that they enjoy going nude at home and when on vacation. So how do you think you would react if you actually see one of them on a nude beach or maybe at a nudist resort?
As for me I think I would go total fanboy, especially if it where one of the female actresses that I've had a crush on since I first movie I saw them in. Not sure how I would mark the moment to remember it. Some how I don't know think a picture with them would fly to well, but you can bet I'll ask though. Can't hurt all they can say I don't think so, but you never know if I'm it with them so I don't go and post the pic all over the net.

I don't expect to see a celebrity at a nudist beach. So maybe I wouldn't realize who she or he is and would think it is only someone who looks very similar to a celebrity. Probably also because she (or he) would look completely different in her nakedness than in makeup on stage.

I would like to think that I would respect their privacy and leave them alone. But I think I would at least say howdy.

Honestly, I can't see it ever happening. The only "realistic" scenario would be if they were filming a movie scene or a documentary.

Even if I was starstruck - for example Alison Brie is a nudist and I really like her - I'd smile, wave and say "Hi!"; but then I would keep it moving. As daunting and intrusive it can be for celebs to get approached in the "real world"; I can only imagine how they would feel about getting "crowded" while naked. I'm just too polite a person.

So true ! Thank them for their work and let them live. If they approached you thats a different story.

They are people who are just relaxing naked just like us !

Exactly how I'd respond. I've run into several movie stars/celebs living her near LA. Even clothed, I respond the same way and give them space and privacy. I think they appreciate the acknowledgement, a simple "hello," but rightly so, become defensive when you intrude or get into their personal space.

BTW, I'm a BIG fan of Alison Brie as well!

It has actually happened for us. Christopher Atkins (starred with Brooke Shields in The Blue Lagoon) was in Connecticut last summer caring for his sick mom and came to Solair. We had a snack table set up under one of the shade awnings so he came over and said hi. He was really nice and just acted as a regular person. We offered him snacks and water (and maybe a glass of wine) but he said he had his own at his lounger. He was just getting out of the sun for a little bit.

Caroll Spinney who was the original Big Bird on Sesame Street was an active member at Solair for many years. His widow still visits and gives the same talks she gives on the Bare Necessities nude cruises. We never met him, but members who were around longer than us all knew him.

I spent over 15 years working in the limousine business. As a chauffeur I had the pleasure to drive a number of people in the film or music industry. Our company policy was not to engage in conversation unless our guest went first. I can't imagine a scenario where I would encounter them in a nudist setting. If I did, I might admire the sighting but would respect their personal space and privacy.
