Group Needs a Moderator
Return to DiscussionsThe moderator of this group has not logged in for over a year. It is not a huge deal, but a good way to discourage spam posts (like the prior post) is to just delete them. If anyone wants to step up, you just need to contact the site admin. I've already done this for other groups.
You'll have to unblock me for me to tell you.
I had also asked you why you blocked me.
I sent you a message a few days ago as you requested, but you probably didn't get it because you had blocked me.
I believe you can still send me a message,
If I am correct, would you please do so?
The main reason I'm looking at one's profile is to check location (perhaps relevant to a thread) or because I liked a comment of yours and wish to 'mine' your profile to read (and perhaps respond) to your other contributions. Apologies if I've stepped on your lawn...
Okay, I'm puzzled as to why it's so important for me to unblock anyone I've blocked, or explain why I have. I don't understand the importance of everyone having access to my profile?Still, I'm unsure why it's such an issue to be blocked. I've blocked people here for many reasons from blank, private or minimally filled out profiles, no profile picture (another reason I probably blocked you), profile pics where, typically, a male member will have their penis in view but not their face.
The main reason I don't like to be blocked has nothing to do with visiting profiles. There are times when it seems to be more appropriate to ask a follow-up question individually to the person who made the post, rather than publicly in a group or forum. If the person who posted has blocked me, I can't do that.
When I visit a profile, it is usually for one of two reasons. Get to know more about someone who posts something interesting whose name I don't recognize. Check for posts I haven't seen from someone so that I can see if I want to join the group in which they appear.
Although I don't have a "dog in this fight", it seems to me that freedom from clothes and freedom to block are equally accessible here. The forums can serve as a great way to share ideas. If I can't say it there, I probably shouldn't say it. For my part, if someone has blocked me (there are only a few), that's their choice and likely that we do not share common interests. I move on.
