Whiskey. Whisky. Spirits distilled from grains and aged in charred wooden barrels. Bourbon. Scotch. Japanese. Irish. Canadian. Sour Mash. What is your go-to style? I am a bourbon and single-malt scotch guy with some Irish whisky thrown in for good measure.

I'm about to start just under a month's whisky and whiskey tasting. A good friend (and fellow nudist) gave me an advent calendar with a different dram for each day.

I've done those type of advent calendars the last couple of years...love them. I have one on the way right now to start December just right. Best calendar idea EVER :)

I am going through a bottle of Elijah Craig and Old West whiskey. Both are great. Actually Old West was surprisingly better than I expected. It was very smooth. Dont hate me but I drink my whiskey on the rocks. But a few cubes at a time. I like how the flavor changes as it you drink it.
But my go to is Woodford Reserve.
I do some of my best drinking in the back yard smoking meat. It always is a good day that way.

I like all types of good Whiskey!

Single Malt Scotch: Lagavulin , Glenlivet, Macallan.

Irish Whiskey: Red Breast

Bourbon: Pappy Van Winkle ( ya right! yes I have had it... even bought a bottle some years ago when you could still get it ;) ) W.L. Weller,
E.H. Taylor Bonded Single Barrel, Angels Envy, and my everyday go to best buy for the money..... Buffalo Trace.

I've yet to do a naked whiskey tasting but it sounds like a lot of fun!

Now naked rum ... well that's another story....

I picked up a whisky advent calendar. Tried 15 different one so far. I finally started taking notes in a whisky journal so I know what I may want to get a bottle of the next time I'm the store.
