Thinking of others during lockdown

Return to Discussions

For those of us dealing with stay at home orders, it's easy to feek stir crazy, inconvenienced and suffering from job/income loss and other factors. One of the best cures to lift your own spirits is to help others. For those of us who are older, remember that those who are younger often have less job security and are flying by the seat of their pants. And for the younger dudes, realize that the logistics of some things can be overwhelming for older people. So make some food, offer to pick things up or to do a project for others, all while practicing social distancing common sense. It can be simple things like buying chalk for a mom with kids at home when the weather is nice or making a run to the drug or grocery store for someone self-quarentining. Know that it'll make your day as a result. We're all in this together!

Hey Andy!

I just wanted to follow on from your sentiments, were all in this together and as a younger im making sure I only grab what I need and making sure the older generation have plenty to go around. Its times like these we all need to pull together and bring out the best in all of us.

and for us nudists this is a great way to enhance our community spirit and check-in on our TN and wider nudist friends to see how theyre doing.

Im always here to chat and keep people company during these uncertain times, if anyone wants to join in my naked house party on Skype do feel free to add/message Stiffy_Twain is my Skype ID and always open to chat :D

Stay safe, well get through this

Joe.

A perfect topic for today. Small thoughtful steps like these certainly do matter for people in isolation, and smiles of thanks from such folks are the bond of connection so needed in our lives. As I type, a dozen homemade muffins are cooling on the kitchen table. My wonderful wife will bring them to our neighbors across the street, both in their 90's. The few that remain for us will be all the sweeter.

by doing things like service for others, you are spreading hope. That's way more productive than watching the news 24 7.

Yikes the news, the for profit media! It's motivated by one thing only: keeping eyeballs glued to watch commercials. They're only losing money with programs. Their focus is on advertising only and they'll appeal to all your fear and basic instincts for keeping your attention. There's no good revenue stream in hope, but there is an excellent contentment/happiness stream which can't be undervalued.

Hey Joe, I love that sentiment--"always here to chat." I've found that, recently, being able to connect with folks here in the chatroom feels almost essential. Without the typical, all-day interaction with others, those focused nude chats become all the more precious. It's a good goal for ALL of us to reach out to others here in the community. Thanks, man.
