No, I don't have Skype. I don't date bots. If you are someone who has not become certified even though you've been here forever--if you have no photos and no profile information-- if you think "hi" is a strong conversation starter or "skype?" or "Whereby?" are a valid first question--if you engage in the 'mean girl' banter of the chat room--or if you look at other people's profiles even though yours is private or blank--we're probably not a match. And what is up with the nudists who make extravagant efforts in talking about wanting to connect for nude fellowship, but then never follow through and, worse, ghost out? That speaks so poorly of their character. Just keeping it real.

"[Adam] answered, 'I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid'" (Genesis 3:10). For me, nudism is an effort to reclaim that innocent place of being naked without shame and without agenda.

I value the collaboration between trust and vulnerability. We all crave the place where it is okay to let down the guard. I think that we, as men, are better when we learn to take time away from the world for what I call "tribe time." Think of those high school days when you were naked with the team and, in that context, felt a sense of masculine affirmation. There is a place for "platonic intimacy," which allows closeness, contact, and comradery without defaulting to the sexual.

I hope to find other guys who understand the significance of getting to know people for who they are. I love good conversation. I have a great sense of humor and am an invested friend. I am intrigued by the adventure of engaging openly and comfortably--of being able to exhale because I am sitting next to someone who seeks the same thing. I wish more of my friends were into this kind of fellowship because I DO think that friendship grows more intimate when we fully lay down the barriers.

I keep looking for friends here who are open to scheduling time together when our worlds overlap. As I travel, I would always prefer to crash in the company of a nudist than in a generic hotel room on my own.
