Bathroom Habits
Return to DiscussionsI've been curious about a particular topic for some time now and wondered if others have had similar questions or topics relating to bathroom habits of men. Not specifically nudist, just men in general. Here goes mine. Feel free to throw your question in here if something comes to mind.
Over the past several years I have noticed different habits when men are sitting on the toilet. No, I've not been peeking over the dividers in public toilets - but in simply sitting on the toilet, you notice where their pants are when they are sitting there. In all my life, I've never found it necessary to lower the waistband of my pants any further down than somewhere above my knees. That gives me sufficient room to handle any portion of what is required during this process - at least for me.
What astonishes me are the guys who find it necessary to lower their pants to the floor. Which for all practical purposes they could be just laying them on the floor - OF A PUBLIC RESTROOM !!! For one, I do not understand any reason to lower trousers, shorts, pants of any kind, that low when going through this routine. But why oh why would you allow your clothes to touch the floor of a public restroom under any circumstances? Eeeeeewwwww!!
Maybe I'm odd man out here. But more often than not as I sit there with limited places for my eyes to wander, the fellow in the next stall has lowered his pants down to the floor. What about you? Where do your pants rest while doing "the deed"? Curious minds want to know. And WHY?
Resting your clothes on the floor of a public restroom is NEVER a good idea. You never know what may be on the floor and what you may pick up in sensitive places. Lowering pants and underwear to about the knees should provide sufficient room for all your bathroom needs.

K. I'm going to break this gently. You are fine with spying on other people using the toilets without their knowledge but what is bothering you is their pants are not positioned to your degree of... what is the measure we are using here? I drop my pants to the floor so my legs can splay free and I am not bound by my trousers in a wierd way to shit. There's nothing on the floor you haven't ingested from the sponge in your own kitchen. The floor is probably cleaner. Most men do not worry about their clothes getting dirty it's what they are for. I don't wear fancy duds to the cruisy toilets either.
I find it interesting that you are serious about being upset about how other men go to shit in private. I can't validate that but maybe someone else can. Those men are not there to meet your standards without knowing it is even an issue. I would refocus myself on my own activities and question whether the peeping Tom routine is the best way to explore. I certainly have never done that despite having 1000 or more hookups in toilets.

Pants go all the way down, more comfortable and honestly never thought about keeping them half way up. The door handle that you touch with you bare hands as you leave the public restroom than my pants on the floor. Realistically, it is not like my pants are laying spread out on the floor, they are bunched up around my ankles and calves.
Odd question,
When I take a dump in a public toilet I feel grateful to have a space with a modicum of privacy and good sanitation. I realize that it wasn't so long ago that my ancestors lived in less sanitary conditions with animals to survive, and weren't able to explore a greater world like I can without taking great risks. HVAC and plumbing sure make a difference!
This happens so rarely, because I hate doing that in a public space...but my jeans don't go on to the floor even when around my ankles... But any kind of loose dress pants must be held up from the floor with one hand. You just don't recover your focus with a phantom wet spot on your pants. It just seems that I cannot get home to take a shower soon enough. ;-D

For myself, it's pants down by the ankle, and for loose pants, reach down the legs and pull them up. I find that keeps them well off the floor, and provides enough self support you usually don't have to hold them.
Now, I guess the question is, if the pants are down by the ankles, do you wipe from the front, and if they're around the knees, do you wipe from behind?
Do we really want to know?
