Return to DiscussionsI had my security camera set on the driveway. When the UPS truck pulled up 300' driveway I was nude, It's private property so I took the package from the driver while nude. The driver didn't say anything so all was well. The package was a small box weighing less than a pound. A few days later the UPS driver delivered two big boxes weighing 50 lbs. each. The UPS driver did not drive up the driveway. Instead he left the two heavy packages on the driveway about one quarter of the way up the driveway. At the top of my driveway there is a large place for the truck to turn around. The UPS drivers always drive up the driveway and leave the packages at the house door. I'm thinking the UPS driver didn't want to encounter a naked man so he unloaded the two packages on the driveway. He left the packages about 70 feet up from the street. That means he had to either back the truck up the driveway or hand carry the packages. It would have been a lot easier and faster for him to drive all the way up the driveway. When I found the packages on the driveway, I had to carry the packages up the driveway. I hope the next delivery makes it to the house door.
I live in a rural area with no close neighbors and a very long driveway (about 150 yards)so I'm naked 24/7, inside and out. I don't order a lot of stuff to be delivered but do occasionally. UPS always delivers and leaves packages on my porch if I'm not outside. It's almost always the same male driver. One day I was washing my truck naked and didn't hear him drive up. I stood up and he was standing there. I walked around the truck and took the package. He saw my tattooed penis and said "coll ink". I said thanks and that was it. He's seen me naked probably 5-6 times and never says anything other than "have a great day".
It's good to hear your UPS guy is ok with you being nude. I didn't think my delivery guy cared but now I'm concerned he will be leaving our packages by the street. I'm not sure how to fix that issue. Any ideas? I'm usually not home during deliveries so we leave the chain down so the package can be left at the house. If the next delivery ends up on the driveway I may have to call someone?
Im retired from a delivery company and Saturdays would be the day where the drivers would see more naked people at the front door when delivering. UPS and FedEx have online Information that is provided to the drivers to alert them of hazards that maybe present at a delivery address. The UPS driver may have felt it was necessary to flag you after seeing you naked. If you want to provide any information to the driver, UPS has My Choice and FedEx has Delivery Manager to do this, you can tell the driver to not leave the packages on the driveway or at the curb and to have them delivered to the front door, back door, at the garage door or anywhere you want them to be left. You can also sign up for alerts to have a better ideal when the package is on the truck or have been delivered. The drivers are required to follow the customers instructions. The last thing the driver doesnt want is having to explain to their manager on why they didnt do what the customer requested. These instructions appear to any driver who can be working on your route that day, you can also state there is enough room to turn around at the house which the driver would appreciate in knowing and cant use that excuse for not delivering to your house.
I know this is going to sound unbelievable but here is a part two to this story: I'm a general contractor and sometimes I help other contractors on their jobs. Two days ago I took on a framing job for another contractor. the framing job turned out to be at the UPS dispatch facility. Yesterday I saw the UPS driver who delivered the package to my home while I was nude. I recognized him but I don't think he recognized me. I'm thinking he didn't recognize me because I was wearing clothes and a hard hat. Needless to say when I saw him I didn't talk to him. I'll be working on that project on and off next week as well. Perhaps next week I'll take a picture and attach it to this story. 11/5/20 I'm editing this because today I worked on the UPS project. so below is the picture. A few years back my morning paper carrier cought me getting my paper she smiled and said hi so I thought it was ok this happen a few times and nothing morning she had her husband helping her I said hi and morning to both about hour latter the phone rings and it was the root Manger saying there carriers did not like seeing me nude and to dress when getting my paper since they bring there 5 year old with them , the funny thing when it was only wife she had her kid with her alot , just thought it was odd the wife was cool and husband not
