Return to DiscussionsIsn't it great to see everything comming to life again at the end of the winter. It's still a bit cold here so I've had to do all the tidying up wrapped up. Last summer I noticed one of the neighbours' windows could see ito a part of my garden. So I planted acouple of trees. Hopefully that will complete the screening.
It's good to get out there now that it's warm enough most days. There has been lots to do - mowing the lawn, cutting out self-seeded saplings, weeding and deadheading. Mostly I'm naked in my back garden. But my roses (always good at this time of year) are out front. They needed me to start deadheading so the blooms keep coming. And they are high enough for me to be covered below the waist. So I did that naked too.
Most of the rose bushes in the front garden are on the high part so until more of the fence is covered with the rambling roses I will have to chose a time of day to deadhead them when there more or less no one going along the lane on bikes and walking. Cars etc I will be able to get out of site in time.
