Toronto WNBR June 8, 2024

My plans are all set for the Toronto WNBR on June 8 at 1pm. This will be my first Toronto ride. I have been a bit wary of doing Toronto since growing up in Western and Central NY State, I know it could be 90 degrees out or it could be in the 50's. I am hoping for the warmer end of the scale. There is a nude beach in Toronto that the riders go to after the ride.I may have to check it out even though the water will be way too cold to go in for a wimpy Florida boy like me.
One thing about the Toronto ride is that it is organized by the same person that does the Montreal ride that I did in 2019 and both day and night rides in 2022. Well run rides.

As a rule, if it is over 70 outside, I will drive and make nighttime gas stops nude. Once it gets cooler, I may look suspicious being shirtless especially with the WNBR plate on the car

How did the drive north go?

It went fairly smoothly, but my phone kept disconnecting from the car so I would lose the navigation. It turned out that it was overheating so I turned the A/C lower in the car,68 vs 74 set the phone on the passenger seat and aimed the A/C vent towards it. Because of that, I ended up driving most of the way clothed and by the time I made my 2nd gas stop it was 57 out so no nude gas stops. I bought a cheap phone bracket at the dollar store that clips on the A/C vent, so hopefully that will keep the phone cool enough without having to run the A/C as cold. It may be a little warmer when I head back next Wednesday.

It must have felt odd to you to be driving a long distance wearing clothes.
At least it was a route you have driven many times so you didn't miss an opportunity to add any states to your nude driving map.

How was the ride? I saw that the high was 72 so it was not too cool.
When do you start driving home?

Good, send that warm weather to Toronto for June 8. My biggest reservation about doing Toronto and maybe Montpelier, next year is having spent most of my life in Western and Central NY, I know on the traditional WNBR date of the second Saturday in June, it can be in the 80's, or it can be in the 50's sometime in the same day. I have never been able to handle the cold, and 23+ years in Florida has made me less tolerant of it.For what it is worth, I am seriously considering a trip to San Francisco for the Bay to Breakers / WNBR events next year.

If you go to Montpelier some year, you can add 4 states (VT, NH, MA, and CT) to your nude driving map, weather permitting.
