About Little Congwong Beach, La Perouse

Little Congwong Beach, La Perouse is an unofficial but well-known nude beach 14 km (9 mi) south-east of Sydney CBD. Although unofficial the locals have no problem with the nudists using the beach. It is a popular spot on summer days with mostly gay men (with easy access by bus to/from Oxford Street on L94 and X94) although all genders, sexuality, and ages are welcomed. It is also well known in the gay community that men also cruise the bush-land at the far (eastern) end of the beach, particularly in the area around the headland point behind the rock tidal flat, so please be aware of this if you go exploring.rrThe beach is clean and sandy, and the water is generally clear. At high tide the water reduces the beach to a thin strip of sand so take note of this is you don't want to be forced too close to other people sharing the beach. The closest restroom facilities and drinking fountain are beside Anzac Parade, just next to the trail that leads to Congwong Beach. There are also a few restaurants and takeaway food options on Anzac Parade, La Perouse.
