  Visited this place in August 2022. I rented a house with all amenities for 2 days. There is a swimming pool, jacuzzi and showers on site. There is also a steam room, but I did not go there. Throughout the naturist complex you can walk completely naked, with the exception of breakfast, which takes place in the restaurant. It is forbidden to take pictures on the territory and they even forbid taking pictures of themselves - and this is very strange. On the territory there is a forest in which you can walk naked.   Great place with plenty of friendly ppl. Always love staying the weekend and enjoying the warm pools and cold drinks. When night falls the night club is a great time.

  My girlfriend and I spent 3 days and two nights at Shady Rest - The room we rented was very clean and nice - Quite a bargain when you factor in breakfast, resort usage, and room - Great experience, met a lot of very decent people - We most certainly will be back, perhaps next month for a few more days

  Pros: Well maintained and clean - A few nice places for dinner only a few miles off site

  Contras: Restaurant is being rebuilt from fire in 2020, but the snack bar is pretty decent

  A true resort. Pools, massage therapy, restaurant, camps, rentals, night club and more.

  Pros: Gorgeous ladies, friendly ppl and staff. TGIF, you can get in on Fridays between 5p to 12am during May to October for $20

  Contras: The weather. It is only warm during the TGIF months.

  The staff was friendly, everything was clean. I visited around 3pm and had the hiking trails all to myself! They have 2 trails that you can follow. If you don`t feel like getting some exercise, take the easy trail. And stay on the trail so you don`t wonder off into someones yard. The nightclub looked cool. Had the hot tub all to myself. It was nice and relaxing. The majority of the poolside ares was in the shade by the time I got to the pool so working on a sunburn (I don`t tan) was not an option.   I have been going to Sunny Rest for years now. I love it there! The people are really friendly. I like that you can go there for a quite time or a get up and let`s have fun time also. The bars are great, food is great, the night club is fun. The hiking trail is a lot of fun also and I love being naked in nature. Great stress free environment!! Sunny Rest Resort is one of the best nudist resorts to visit!

  I come here every year for the Bouncing Buns 7K Trail race plus for the nude relaxation afterwards. The place gets perhaps over 100 visitors from the race who wouldn`t had shown up otherwise. I would had gone to my regular club but the race drew me in. After our athletic challenge was over, we had the awards cermony poolside which was bustling with activity. Water Volleyball, hiking, and sand Volleyball were al going on plus live music from a band which play requests from a list of hundreds of songs.   Spent an aafternoon and liked it. Relaxed atmosphere, nice and clean, lots of recreational and lodging options - even hiking trails, which I love! I`ll be back, for sure!

• Bouncing Buns Trail 7K race

  I decided to drive two hours to Palmerton for the chance to run just one race without clothing and I did. It was quite an experience. Loved how there`s no laundry. Athletes stayed at the pool area afterwards and enjoyed the weather despite the passing shower. What a fantastic atmosphere! Walking to and from my car was a chore but I loved that too!

  Pros: Nudism, friendly, event

  Contras: parking looks tight, no McDonald`s on premise :)

  This will be my fourth time at Sunny Rest Resort, and like always, it was a great time! The visit is always worth it. The staff there are very hospitable and cordial. They will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfy and that you are well taken care of. As for the people, well I cannot say enough about how nice everyone was...THIS IS A TRUE COMMUNITY! Most people will say hello in passing, or a nice welcome wave. There is always some sort of activity going on there, such as their annual "boat regatta" or the pool vollyball...   Great atmostphere when I was there for Naturists meeting...Single guys and gals were welcomed and same gender couples as defined by naturist society- Not sure what policy is at other times. GREAT big pool and nice grounds.......

  We decided to try Sunny Rest for the first time on 7/3 and found it to be relaxing and enjoyable. The people were very friendly, the staff very hospitable, and "The Regulars" very welcoming. We were a bit apprehensive at first- having never been to a nudist resort in the states- but we quickly fell in love with the atmosphere and great people. Sure, there are things that could make it even better- but for the most part, it was perfect and we look forward to many return visits.

  Pros: Great Staff, Welcoming community, Beautiful resort!

  Contras: Must get poolside way early to ensure a chair (or bring your own), Restaurant lunch service was a but lacking (maybe an off day?)

  A very upscale resort, with all the facilities you want. The pool is large, and the restaurant is nice. They keep everything very clean

  Pros: It`s only abouet an hour away, which is nice, and they have enough activities for every age group.

  Contras: The people weren`t overly friendly when I was there, and my girlfriend at the time got tired of being hit on by female swingers that hang out up on the hill in the camping area. I hope that has changed.

• Incredible Scenery

  In the Pocono Hills and the scenery is incredible. Nice pool and deck. The staff is very friendly and the residents are nice. The rooms are basic but clean and ok. We stayed for a week and had a great time at Sunny Rest and the surrounding comunities
