About Yarra River, Bourchier's Road, Kang

This nudist area has two main areas. The first one becomes apparent when you walk along the path. It is a wide, open area where a lot of people can sit. Often there are clothed people here and, as such, many nude people go to a second area further along the path. This area is kind of hidden but well worth the extra 5 minute walk. Follow the original path until you come to a sort of clearing area (you may need to climb over a fallen tree). At this river side of the clearing there is a small path leading down to a riverside grassy area

Yarra River, Bourchier's Road, Kang Directions

A tranquil, secluded area near Warrandyte, Bourchier's Road in Kangaroo Ground hosts one of the finest non-beach nudist areas in Victoria. When driving to the area there are two fairly easy ways to get there, one involves coming through Diamond Creek, the other through Warrandyte. Both places have signs pointing to Kangaroo Ground. When in the suburb, turn into Menzies Creek Road (if coming from Diamond Creek) or Pigeon Bank Road (if coming from Warrandyte). Pigeon Bank Road is quite steep and, as such, people should be careful when driving as some cars do not seem to obey road rules. From either road, turn into Bourchier's Road. This is a dirt road which is a little bit pot-holey. Please take great care here. Fortunately this road has very little traffic and the chances of seeing someone else on it are remote. At the end of Bourchier's Road is a parking area with a locked gate at the end. Park here and follow the path through the gate. The path veers to the right (you should be able to see the river) and ends at a locked gate with a small space between the gate and the fence. Climb through here (it is not onto private property) and follow the path.
