  • Apollo Ramp 5

Great beach, clean, quiet, relaxing. Mainly older population. Best place to reset and recharge energy. Don't be ashamed of your body. Let this place relax you.

Pros: Very peaceful place. Everyone is friendly whether clothed or unclothed. It's Nature as its best. All cultures, genders, colors, shapes, sizes. One close great community of naturists beach goers.

Cons: 35 parking spots. Get there super early, or wait in line for a spot, or go to ramp 4.

  • Like this place better than Playalinda - - but who am I

    5.00

We visited both places on the same day - - not super far apart - worth seeing both as the entrance fee covers both places on the same day. Apollo is much less visited - - we nearly had the entire place to ourselves... fun times... added some great photos from our last visit. AGAIN very rustic - - bring EVERYTHING you might need... FUNNY - again the other various parking lots almost empty - - but once we got to lot 5 - - jammed packed... most wearing clothes - - very odd... that people just wanna see naked people and not join in!! OH WELL - their loss....

Pros: Quiet and peaceful... better sand and wider beach than Playalinda... on our visit the shoreline was littered with Portuguese man of War jellyfish... wouldn't want to get those delicate parts stung!! They were flying the purple marine warning flag

Cons: Lot of effort needed to get to the actual nude use part - - very rustic - - - parking can be a problem!!

I was pleased to see that a sign had been put up to inform visitors that lot #5 is clothing optional and that you no longer had to walk a distance south of the lot before removing clothing. It was a pleasant, relaxing day at the beach.

Been going to the beach several days, skipped today to give the tan a rest. The rangers added new sign on the way in saying parking lot 5 was for nude sunbathing. Guess its official you can be naked at 5

    Pros: Great beach

Cons: Terrible small parking area, much more room at Playalinda

  • Lot #4

    4.00

We visited Monday 4 June. Arrived at 10am - very few cars or people on the beach. We didn't see any signs about nudity, as others have mentioned. We walked south towards #5 for about half a mile. Very quiet all day. No sign of rangers and one turtle watch guy. But, here's the thing - access via the ramp and/or steps at lot #4 is really difficult, especially if you have a cart. The ramp is completely silted up and cannot be used. The sand at the bottom of the steps has been eroded and, even though there are sandbags, it is still quite a jump from the bottom step. Such a pity that after building…

    Pros: Peace and quiet

    Cons: Bathrooms, ramp blocked

  • best nude beach

    5.00

this is my favorite nude beach miles of sand, they should make all of Apollo clothing optional since it's a federal park .

    Pros: sand and ocean

Cons: parking lot small they need to extend nude beach to lot 4 too , actually be great if they made whole beach clothing optional since everyone including textile gawkers flock to lot 5.

  • First trip and loved it!

    5.00

I went solo (male) for a few hours to check the beach out and was very impressed! The wife and I will definitely be heading back soon together for a visit. I waited less than three minutes for a parking spot to open up when I arrived just past 2:00 PM. The area was beautiful, the sand was nice, and the surf wasn't bad. Everyone had clothes on to the left as I faced the water and all the nude sunbathers were located to the right...of course I went to the right! I went about 100 yards up the beach and set up my chair to relax at the water's edge. A few of the clothed folks walked up the beach, s…

Pros: - Pretty area, I didn't have any problems with bugs, water was very nice...warm and low tide so plenty of shore to walk along. - People were nice and kept to themselves. - No excess of gawking men around.

Cons: - Obvious that with only 37 parking spots (2 of them are handicap) it would fill fast on a busy day.

  • Simply the Best!

    5.00

My wife and I love Apollo Beach. There are a lot of misconceptions, e.g. sand is difficult to walk on, you can only go naked south of car park 5, etc. But we always park at lot 4 and then walk a long ways south. It's fine between 4 and 5 - everyone is naked - and it's much more relaxed than Playa Linda, where there are always some guys who could be a nuisance. My wife isn't comfortable there, but she loves the freedom of Apollo, and so do I. Rangers are very good, as are the turtle patrol! We last went on Memorial Day and it was nearly empty - bliss!

    Pros: Quiet, clean, no hassle

    Cons: Limited parking

  • Beautiful but...!

    3.00

I love this beach and because of it`s convenience to my location I will not give up on it but there`s things others should know. I went with my Mom and thank God she`s in great shape as it`s recommended to walk a ways from boardwalk and the sand is very loose and grainy making it difficult if you`re not sure footed. Surf is typically rough so if you`re wanting to swim, know there`s riptides, please read instructions posted if you don`t know how to handle. I`ve also been approached inappropriately when there with my sons, mom, and alone so I wouldn`t recommend for single women alone. There is v…

    Pros: Beauty

Cons: Inappropriately approached while with family and alone. Lack of Parking.

  • Great day for the beach

    5.00

Beautiful day to be at the beach. The sun was out, had a nice breeze, not too hot. Plenty of people out enjoying themselves. Surf was great, felt good after walking the beach.

  • Beautiful beach, but not a lot of room to spread out.

    3.00

The beach is beautiful and the people friendly. The beach area that is available for sunbathing isn`t very far from the water. All age ranges around. Sand is very loose and difficult to walk in, especially if you are the least bit mobility impared. Playalinda Beach is at the other end of the park and is a better area.

Pros: Close to Daytona and peaceful.

Cons: Limited parking and difficult to walk in the sand.

Cons: parking, rangers, the long walking to parking lots

  • One of my favorites

    5.00

A very nice, long, clean c/o beach, with lifeguards. It has a large parking lot, and the people are very friendly, and of every age imaginable. During the week it`s not too crowded, and the water is always warm, no matter what time of year.

Pros: Very secure, wide, clean, patroled, and very family oriented. It has restroom facilities and snack bar.

Cons: During the week leading up to, and the week after a shuttle launch, the beach is closed, so you should find out if there is any activity at the Cape before going.
