My wife and I visited Moshup beach for the first time last summer (2023) when we had the opportunity to go with friends of ours from our home nudist resort. It was a perfect day sunny and warm. Luckily I had made a lunch for all of us that made things a LOT easier as it is quite a long walk back to the lunch stand (approximately 1 mile + back toward the textile beach. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to spend our Anniversary in July at a nearby B&B s we can visit again.

    Pros: Beautiful beach. Nice crowd.

Cons: Long walk even after arriving at the visitor's center. No facilities without trekking back to the visitors center (1.5 miles +/-

I have been going to Gay Head Beach / Moshup Beach since 1980 and start going nude sunbathing in 1982. At one time the whole beach was clothing optional. Over the years the nude part is up by the cliffs, you walk down the trail to the beach and turn right. There are some large rocks that is kind of the start of the nude section. The beach is actually long, it wraps around a few times brining brining different views of the cliffs, so there is lots of beach to walk nude or the further you to the more private it becomes. The parking is now $30.00 per day even if you are there for an hour. At 5:00…

Pros: It's a great beach, but no life guards, very remote, beautiful cliffs, but be careful after a rain, the clay from the cliffs washes onto the beach and can be slippery. It is a great place to strip naked and enjoy nature.

Cons: Its a bit of a hike for some, it takes me about 15 minutes to walk down the the beach and got up the the nude section. It can be rocky in areas, so when walking you might have to cross some, be careful if the rocks are wet.

It is a great beach, as I live on Martha's Vineyard I have been going to this beach since the early 1980's. The parking in season is now $30.00 per day. Last season they started charging from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Moshop or GayHeadBeach is a great place to stay for anyone looking to be nude on a breathtaking beach on a sensible island Martha's vineyard, Took the bus from the ferry sat woodshole, disrobed at the "Rock pile area", and took a swim in crystal clear beach water, clean smooth sand, unlike any Cape beach! Plenty of people enjoying nature, some clothed people walk by, peace between all people.

Pros: 40$ with unlimited bus pass From Woods Hole, Steamship Local food Great scenery

    Cons: Long commute from mainland

  • Great place be in the summer on the island.

I was here growing up every summer. Loved it then and was back not to long ago. No to bad of a walk from the road. ALOT more people on the "Textile" beach to get around then when I was younger. Still a lot of friendly nudist there. There will always be those who walk down from the textile beach just to look. When you go. Enjoy all the nature of the cliffs and beach. The ocean is a bit cold as always, but a great way to cool off!

    Pros: Beautiful place to be!

Cons: Some lookers but where isn't there on public land.
