  One of my favorites and absolutely one of the friendliest. Beautiful setting and wonderful amenities. Rural and rustic, yet just right.

  Pros: They are able to achieve a great mix of male, female, singles, couples, families - all without meeting a quota or restrictions on certain folks. Very friendly to newcomers and those new to the nudist experience. It is clothing-optional.

  Cons: Way, way back down a single lane country road. Not a con for me - I’m from WV. Might make some folks stressed wondering where in the world they’re going. But trust me, it’s worth the journey.

  I have been going out there for 4 years. Great people very welcoming. Pickle Ball in summer is great. I enjoy the trails. Indoor pool is open all year round. The cabins are first class stayed there a few times.

  Pros: Family Friendly

  Cons: Some things are getting run down. Waiting for the Bare Barn to open after a lot of delays

  Hiya gang, spent a super night at Avalon last week, thought I'd share our experience. My buddy (a non-nudist) and I decided to meet up for camping, but could only get one night at Harper's Ferry. He was looking around and noticed Avalon; I had mentioned I'd done nudist stuff, so asked if I wanted to go. Fuckin A! So we did. It's a bit waaaay back in the woods; don't run low on gas like I did. You drive up, there's a small office with a nice clothed receptionist who signs you in, takes your credit card, gives your wrist-band (tied to your credit card) and makes sure you read and sign the rules.…

  Pros: Friendly!

  Cons: Remote! Gas up your vehicle

  I was en route from northern VA to western PA and had made a reservation for a day pass. The setting was wonderful and the weather perfect. Being a weekday in October, not many were there but everyone I met was warm and friendly. I had planned to have lunch but the dining room wasn`t open for lunch that day. The experience really made me want to go back when I can spend more time.

  Pros: Lots of space, several hiking trails, picturesque natural setting, campground, lodge with dining room.

  Cons: Dining room was not open during the day (October) when I visited.

• My favorite place in West Virginia

  An upper scale resort well worth the visit. it`s nestled in the foothills of West Virginia, and the drive is beautiful, especially in the early spring, or late fall. The area is known for it`s red bud trees, they are beautiful.

  Pros: The people are friendly, and you run into some of the same people every time you go there. They have both an indoor, and outdoor pool, 2 jacuzzis, sauna, steam room, exercise room, nudecino, motel rooms, condos, lounge, restaurant, tennis, petanque, hikin

  Cons: During the winter some things are only open on weekends, and the pool has shorter hours.
