Barna/silverstrand. Galway, Ireland
3.00South facing rocky beach with some sandy areas. Bring something comfortable to lie on as the beach is made up of either large boulders or small stones.r The water quality is very high, mostly crystal clear and relatively shallow though there are a lot of rocks and weed, swimming is pretty safe, r The town of Barna is a short walk away with a Hotel, Restaurants and a Supermarket. r The Bus from Galway takes 30 minutes from the main bus station and drops you five minutes from the beach.
Pros: Close to Galway city, never too crowded, South facing, High water quality.
Cons: The beach is rocky and it is still not technically legal to be nude in public in Ireland
