• Long hike but worth it!

  The drive out is rough. Either plan on going slow or having a car or truck that can handle very rough dirt roads. The lady at Bowen Ranch was very nice. Their map down to the hot spring isn`t to scale, but the distance is fairly accurate. My GPS said it was about 1.82 miles and they said 2 miles on their map. The GPS also said the altitude change was about 956 feet. It is true what some of the other reviewers are saying that there is a younger not naked crowd on the weekend (at least this one) and a lot of people don`t police their trash or ignore the rules and bring glass or camp down at the…

  Pros: Beautiful and scenic walk/hike. Nice hot pools and cool creek for both hot and cool days.

  Cons: Long drive on rough dirt road. Long uphill hike one the way back.

  The Hot springs is nice but unfortunately the young college crowd has found the place and now every weeked, I have been twice in 3 weekend, the place takes on the visual of a frat party. So I hope they will tire of the steap up hill hike out and leave it to the people that really appreciate it. I did find some nice places on around the corner up the creek that are really nice.

  Pros: beautiful scenery and a great hike and Bowman Ranch is a nice place to camp

  Cons: over crowded on the weekends

  We`ve been to Deep Creek in summer and winter. The hot springs are great all year long, but the stream in front of the springs is much more fun in the summer when you can swim and play in the water.
